Villager Trading Plaza Feedback

I'm new to this forum and website, but the main reason I joined was because of this villager plaza. I don't know why the other forums (gamefaq, acc) don't do this? Buying/selling villagers is a hassle on other sites because you have to wade through all the other stuff. And when you have an item you are looking for, wading through all the villager trades is confusing too. This way is so much cleaner and nicer.

I agree, villager trading and cycling here on TBT is waaaaayyyy better than ACC IMO. ;)

I think a picture should be required.
I just came across another thread where someone was auctioning a villager who has not even pinged to move.

I thought those were already rules?

Nope.

[Auction] Tag: Create a thread using this tag if you have a villager ready to move out to be auctioned off for Bells or Items.

But I can see how this might've been confusing so Justin'll edit that.

We'll leave something like that up to the buyer's discretion.

Yup, typically it hasn't been an issue with other folks. In the case you find this to be problematic, it might be ideal to ask the seller for details.

Hmm.. fair enough.
As much as I hate it, it'd be good to not get my hopes up then.
Thanks, Thunder!

Is KYLE popular? He's in my campsite and not sure if i should bring him in.

yes

usually i post here if my villager asked to move but i thought i could get maple moving so i started a raffle for her and for a week she would not move and im just like goodbye u piece of crap im going to timetravel to 2050 so idk i usually dont mind if i have to wait for a villager to move?

The rule should be that if they aren't moving yet, you just have to specify that ahead of time in case you can't get them to move.

A "Buying" tag would be really good to have imo ;u;

The reason there isn't one is because it would overwhelm the forum--especially with people bumping up their request when they may see someone else with a topic and etc. There also would be a large amount of begging.

Thus the Looking For thread is the universal Buying thread to help lessen the amount--afterall, people could always look for a topic to pop up for something they want too and many people already have who they are looking for in their signature.

and to add to this, people, like in an example I made before, would turn it into an auction or get run over by price.

Person 1: "i will pay 10 mil. for ankha"
Seller: "Alright, I'll sell her to you."
Person 2: "I can pay 30 mil for her. :)"
Seller: "Oh, really? Great, we can do that. Person 1, can you top that?"

At this point, the seller might as well hold an auction or something... and don't tell me it's never happened before, because it has.

I actually use the Looking for thread when I wanna find someone who wants a particular villager and is about to be voided. I know others do too.

While I'm not going to say that hasn't happened before, I wouldn't call it turning it into an auction either. It's honestly just rude and disrespectful to Person 1. I've even had such a thing happen in one of my own threads :/

Well yes, that's true.
But also if Person 1 had replied with a higher price and it would've kept going until someone couldn't bid anymore. It's almost like if the Seller had put up an auction, it would've been better.

Or, well if it turns into an auction like that if someone clearly has over-the-top amount of bells they should just have a buyout or OP should stop it :|

A buyout isn't necessary. You don't have to have a buyout. Not all real-life auctions do, so why should this community?

Also, if someone's going to give you 50 million for a villager when they normally go for 20 million, why stop them?

To avoid drama I suppose? And if they clearly have that much... they should just outbid whoever at once if there are only two on it. Well... whatever.
