Yes, can you guess which area each thing is from? To remind you it's fish and chips, breakfasts with laverbread, haggis and yorkshire puds with a roast. Last one kind of gives it away.
Yorkshire puddings is obviously from Yorkshire, haggis is Scottish, fish and chips is traditionally from the north(?) of England, and I think the flatbread is from Wales?
(Don't forget f*ggots and spotted d*ck, both actual foods xD )
I'm from the U.S. and we don't really have a signature food unless you count burgers. But I don't like burgers so instead I'll just tell you my favorite Kaiaa-nized food (yes, I just made that up since it's my recipe):
Bacon Fried Rice. It's as delicious as it sounds, and if you think it sounds nasty, you should really try it before you judge <3
It's super easy to make too.
Take:
2 Rice cups med/long grain white rice and
3 cups beef stock
Bit of salt (you judge)
1 Tablespoon butter
Cook rice, salt, and butter in beef stock. Leave covered 15 min after finished. It may burn a bit on bottom but don't worry too much about it, crumble it up to add some flavor to the rice if you wish.
Next:
6-7 strips of bacon - cut into bite sized pieces
1/4 Teaspoon of garlic
1/2 of a medium onion - diced
3 Tablespoons oil
Peas & Carrots to your liking
Soy Sauce to taste
2 eggs, whisked - set aside
Anything else you feel like adding
Place oil in skillet. Fry the Bacon with the onion and garlic on medium-high heat. Make sure your bacon is done but not well done and onions are translucent!
Once finished add in the rice, peas & carrots (I use frozen, if you use canned drain thoroughly and don't use too many peas!), and whatever else you desire (Ex: steak is sooooo good in this rice). Flip rice frequently to evenly fry.
Next, when the rice is heated through, push the rice mixture to the side of your skillet and add in the whisked egg to the now bare side of the skillet. This part is a little tricky but now you have to scramble the egg. Don't worry about rice falling in, just scramble the best you can. Once finished scoop egg over rice mixture and fold it in.
Now you're done! Just add soy sauce and eat! (Very very very good as leftovers)
Serves 4
Well, my country has a lot of cultural foods but here's one of my favorites:
If you can guess it without looking Google, 100 internets for you.
