Pokémon Pokemon General

Serebii does actually.
Then I stand corrected.

And I really thought there was gonna be trainer costumisation that sucks and mega steelix looks like a horseshoe crab and also mega galie needs to have a ghost or dark typing after it's ice that sucks it doesn't
If you still thought there was gonna be trainer customization after the confirmation of Super Secret Bases, you missed something. All the StreetPassed trainers shown in the SSBs were random trainer classes. That's also why I've been saying for so long that trainer customization has been out, it just seems people have a hard time letting go of something that has no place being in OR/AS.

Maybe every region will get a different mega in the demo...

Korea and Jaan both got differet megas, they ddnt both get steelix and Glalie

Explain the bolded

Explain the bolded
Kalos was a region that prided itself on fashion and beauty and is based on France, seen by a lot of people as a sort of fashion center. Even the region name comes from the Greek word for "beauty". All the towns are named after ingredients used in perfumes. The enemy team, Team Flare, is entirely based on wanting to be beautiful, and their name is a pun on "flair", or stylishness.

If you look at Hoenn, it's mostly based on the balance of land and water, which is reflected by the two enemy teams. It also focuses on relationships between Pokemon and their trainers, which the region was named after (豊縁 houen, "abundant relations"), and reflected by the contests.

Trainer customization makes sense in a region that focuses so much on beauty. In one that focuses on relationships though? Yeah, not really.

We'll sorry not everyone is gonna catch that and I have never played hoenn so I wouldn't have known that no need to get bitter about it

Mega glailie looks cool I really like the top half but the bottom half looks like an intense game of hungry hungry hippos???

Mega steelix is really cool, reminds me a lot of ukanlos from mh

Even if you haven't played Hoenn before, the evidence to support that trainer customization is not in the games was so overwhelming ever since the reveal of the Super Secret Bases that I'm surprised people didn't catch on earlier.

The SSB reveal showed that there were no customized trainers in Super Secret Bases, but rather default trainer classes like Ace Trainer, Aroma Lady, etc., using the default names used for Japanese demo purposes (オメガ Omega for the guy, サファイア Sapphire for the girl).
The map of the updated Hoenn region showed no boutiques.
Recent leaks have shown the insides of Pokemon centers, showing no changing booths.
Apart from that, we're just a bit over a month away from release. If customization was going to be in, we would've heard about it already.

When you get down to it, those things should have made people realize that customization was not going to be in OR/AS, yet every time I mentioned it was out I met with strong resistance. I'm not being bitter, I'm disappointed that people had to wait until an interview confirmed it to believe that this X/Y feature was cut.

Oh interesting!

I don't know if it was a good enough reason to scrap customization though.

I don't really care if it would have been in the game either way because of how they failed on the boy clothes in x/y but I know others do care. I was just curious on your word choice that I bolded earlier

looks like i got a code.
According to Serebii looks like Japan get M. Steelix and EU/KOR get M. Glailie.
AUS usually files under EU so I'm assuming we'll get Glailie but I'll post if I don't

nope, glailie as well

Wait you got a code for them? Or do they appear in your demo

Has anyone from the UK got their code yet? I've seen UK people posting on Tumblr that they are already playing the demo but I haven't had my code from the Nintendo UK store yet...

EDIT: I just pre-ordered an extra OR copy off Amazon and I got the demo code email before my order confirmation email :p I'll probably keep this order as an extra copy for challenges and events...

ugh can't decide whether to get OR or super smash bros wii u

Damn Nintendo is hooked on megas. It is going to be harder and harder not to have a team with one included.

The plan is for all stand-alone non-evos, legendaries, and end-of-evolutionary line Pokemon to have a Mega.

IT'S ALMOST LIKE I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR MONTHS
WOW WHAT A SURPRISE YOU GUYS

Literally nobody cares about you being right or not.

I think it's because people more likely trust information from reliable sources moreso than random people.

In this thread, I trust the following people to have accurate information
  1. Jake.
  2. Other people quoting actual Nintendo quotes

no trailer today so i guess the leaker was full of BS :)
Would seem like it so far. No customization pretty much sunk the leaker for me. B)

jesus christ
our gamestop has a limited supply and so they asked for proof of preorder for ORAS. thankfully my brother had already paid for OR in full and i think my mom did for AS so we both have codes.
Please report them to corporate either via email or phone using the information from the sidebar. Do not allow them to continue doing that, limited quantities or not. This is a free promotion, pre-orders not necessary.

Tomorrow I'm going to pick up two more Pokemon demo codes, before redeeming them and playing through the demo twice. :^)
I've gotta sign up for more accounts for family. ._. Sucky.

The gamestop lady asked me how many gengar codes I needed....

Like, yo, did nobody ever teach you 1 per customer?
Some people get multiple because multiple games or family. :) People who grab like 10 though to giveaway online tick me off.

Edit @ 18:39: Interview at USGamer confirms that Trainer Customisation is not in this game

BYE

also wtf

Edit @ 20:00: It has also been confirmed in an interview with NTower that, although X & Y are compatible with Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, X & Y will not receive a patch to include the new Mega Evolutions and Primal Reversions.

??? WHY NOT? HWY???

still sad about latios and latias =(
someone trade me their latias for my latios when the games come out please :))))
Hah customization get rekt!

Patch X/Y please. :(

Skimp a few dollars off lunch or something!

So even if official releases from The Pokemon Company show exactly what I've stated earlier, you won't trust it until some dude goes "Yeah, of course it isn't in". There were three separate things which pointed to the same thing. It's not about me being right or not, it's about people not seeing what is in plain sight. I don't care if you don't care about it, I'll rub people's blindness in their faces all I want.

Anyway, since nobody's posted it yet:

During the demo, you start off by going to an island where Team Aqua and Magma are hunting for a specific Pok?mon. This Pok?mon is Glalie or Steelix depending on where your game is from. Steelix in Japan, Glalie in Europe and Korea. After that, you can play the demo multiple times to get more things. This takes you to several islands where you have certain tasks. At the end, you will either get more people in Mossdeep City or items to send to Pok?mon ORAS on its release. For example, after three plays, you can get Pok?Balls to send to Pok?mon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire and Heal Balls on the fifth.
00:31: There are five island layouts upon which you can visit, each with random Pok?mon. The task for each island changes from finding Pok?mon to battling various trainers or battling one Elder trainer.
00:42: Heart Scales can also be transferred
00:53: Gifts seem to stop after the 10th playthrough where you battled against an Elder who has Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert and Hariyama. You get Heart Scales at the end

I'm just waiting for FRONTIER confirmation

If there's no frontier in a R/S remake then that would be crazy. I'm pretty sure it is there since that was pretty big in Hoenn.

And what no more customization? I was almost sure it was there. That's a shame.
