Could we get a Sub-Forum for Trading Amiibo Cards?

Heyo, if this is already in the works or has a popular thread that I haven't noticed, just let me know.

I think that a board just for trading Amiibo Cards would be a great idea and really help the site right now, lots of people are getting their Amiibo cards, but with the nature of the game, not everyone can get the villager they want, and trading is lots of fun already! A forum where we post our trade lists and the cards we're looking for would be very helpful for a lot of people, and would even help to make the regular trading or Happy Home Designer boards less cluttered.

Also something to take into consideration is trade refs. I feel like the regular referral system we use for Wifi related activities could work, but being a trustworthy person with virtual/ingame/TBT currencies is a tad different from trading physical goods/exchanging addresses. We might want to consider a separate trade ref for Amiibo Cards/potentially future AC Amiibo related trades, but that's just a personal idea of mine. If anyone has ever played card games like YuGiOh, MtG, Cardfight Vanguard or Pokemon and traded on forums such as Pojo, you know what I'm talking about.

I can already see the threads popping up and I can only imagine there will be more and more threads!

As more Series are released, not to mention Japanese Series, NA Series, Europe Series, Australian Series, etc... there will be quite a lot of trading to be had.

Happy Home Designer is already severely cluttered. We need a Sub Forum. I was thinking at first to put it with Happy Home Academy, but then what about Amiibo Festival, and who knows what other games in the future?

Perhaps the best spot would be in the Animal Crossing Category, and then Amiibo Cards as a sub-category.

I am hopeful for this change.

I agree the card trading threads are really cluttering the HHD board already, the card trading should be separated.
A subforum would be great.

Trading amiibo cards should just be a part of the TBT marketplace and then have a subforum there or maybe replace the club nintendo one.

I think this is a good idea. A sub-forum somewhere would be very nice.

I agree, a sub-forum is what we need! It's a bit tiresome to see just trading posts and not much related to the game.

Just popping in here to say that we definitely agree it would be good to have a trading board. I'd like to do it right though, not just drop in the board without any rules, so it may take a while. Do you guys think it would be better placed under the HHD board or Marketplace board?

Likely HHD board. It is similar to villager trading so I am sure you can think of a hhd-relevant pun as the name.
Plus imo it doesn't really have anything to do with TBT, so the TBT Marketplace isn't very suitable

Personally I think under Marketplace would be the best, just to futureproof the forum for future non-HHD games that get Amiibos/cards, like the upcoming Wii U game for instance. From there, a sticky on the HHD board linking to it would be nice.

Yo. Sorry for the bump. But I'd love for you to do this! The reason is because the HHD Board is cluttered with threads all about trading amiibo cards. And I can't trade amiibo cards cause i'm not 18+.

I love the idea of trading HHD Amiibo cards on the site, however, I think it is extremely important to lay down some restrictions regarding who can trade. There are many users on this site that are under the age of 18 (some even under the age of 13 while 13+ age restrictions are common on forum sites) and younger users should not give their addresses to strangers on a public forum as it could put their IRL safety at risk.
