but is it rude to ask why one shoulder is missing (or have u just not deawn it yet ;;)

anywaYS it looks great u should b proud

It looks exactly like you traced over a picture of a real human so yes, very realistic.

Looks great! idk who this person is but it looks amazing. the only thing I see that looks a bit off is the nostrils, they're just black holes on his nose, try to add an interior of the nostril.. if you understand what I mean, lol

It looks hard to define (maybe it's the lighting) the tip of the nose from the rest of his skin So maybe try to make it slightly daarker than the "background"?

^^ yes! the nose was bothering me lmao. ill see what i can do

rapmon??!! it looks great !! daNG

Looks nice. Maybe try weaning off of references to see how much they've let you improved.

Reference or not - the coloring is very well done.

wait I thought references were just pictures you put beside where you're drawing just so you know what exactly you're drawing..?

Does reference mean tracing or overlay? idk anymore :C I've been using it as "a picture of what you're drawing" this whole time

I wasn't really clear with what I meant by reference.

Reference can range anywhere from a glance or two, to copying something line for line.

Why would your English teacher ask you to draw something realistically?

If it's for an English assignment, then I'd say it's fine. They don't really care that much about artistic ability or creativity.

I'd go with That Zephyr Guy in saying that you should try drawing without a lot of reference next time since it looks like you've got portraiture down.

this isnt a reference its a trace

tracing means you draw over the lines on the image, referencing is copying the concept or idea or anatomy but not directly drawing over the original pic

why do you assume everything is traced? i mean it could be but it probably is just a heavy reference

How do you know?

Like people have said, it could just be heavy reference

we literally overlaid their wip with the photo of rapmon used as a "ref" and it lines up, 100%.
even if you heavily ref from a photo, you can't carbon copy proportions to the exact tee unless you trace it, just saying.
