@SarasaKat , @Vigs
Your read makes a lot more sense to me now that you have gone into more detail. I bolded the part that I am in particularly interested in, which concerns
Heyden's meta.
Its slightly different.
- Crys was asking if we should randomly lynch today
- Heyden was asking if we should randomly shoot tonight
And I am slightly sus of Crys for bringing up that question. But I have more reasons that just that now for suspecting Heyden.
-Heyden's stopped posting once things have gotten serious. Their only post was still goofing off after it was clear things were taking a turn for the serious. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe silence is a big part of Heyden's scum meta.
- The aforementioned reaction test in those reads
And if anything, my contradiction lies that I questioned Heyden and not alexi, who asked a similar question right after I posted my read. Considering I said I found it suspicious though, it'd take balls of steel for a mafian to say that, so O townread Alexi from that.
I wanted to ask about Heyden's meta previously, after your first read. I was wondering how his meta compares in this game to others, but I thought it was too soon to bring up and I didn't want to cause any unnecessary confusion/chaos. But now that you brought it up, I figured I share my thoughts.
These are my thoughts on Heyden:
From my observations thus far
(which amounts to little - none info since I am [SUP]super duper[/SUP] noob), I have gathered that Heyden's meta often seems a bit scummy or off, therefore I am hesitant to peg him as a
terrorist.
1. In general, his posts consist of little to no content.
2. He asks questions that are seemingly relevant to the current game, but they are not particularly pro-town, nor do they seem to be gathering any info on the players.
*This may be a reaction testing tactic. It also may be a way to keep distance so others can't read him as town/scum.
3. After popping in with his quick question/comment, he seemingly disappears without following up on the answers to or discussion.
4. I do not see him coming up with his own reads.
5. Posts infrequently; when he does it seems like random times or he may be he choosing an very opportune moment.
*I'm still not sure if his timing has any meaning.
*This bit may be due to time zones and/or personal schedule, but doesn't make it irrelevant since thats prob a big factor on how somebody develops their meta.
6. Plays independently; He never aligns himself with others in an obvious way. [/SIZE]
*This play can be seen as either town/scum since it can benefit both, though I personally see it as potentially more helpful to scum. I think most people would agree with this, and adds to him sending out bad vibes to the other players.
The behavior described above can be very misleading. To me, it simply adds up to being Heyden's personal tactical approach to mafia. Furthermore, if it is true that my points (if true at all) are typical of both Town-Heyden and Scum-Heyden, then we need to find a big difference between the two in this game (the thing that makes town-heyden and scum-heyden different).
This is where your comment comes into play. [SUB](The bolded part in Sarsacat's quote).[/SUB]If my points #3 and #5 are correct, that means silence is not a part of Heyden's scum meta. If I am wrong,
pretty please correct me. I'd like to know.
The thing is, I am probably wrong since I don't know anything. His behavior is very confusing, so I've thought about it before and I am just trying to make sense of it.
One more thing... In the first part of the quote, you say that Heyden asked if we should do a random shoot. I think the way this is phrased
might be a bit misleading, or it might be on point. I think its hard to pinpoint what was behind the question, if anything at all. But the way it was phrased, I did not read it the way you paraphrased it. Also, its similar to was I was saying in one of my points (#2).
Moving on...
Crys
Thoughts so far
- her meta is in flux. has mentioned changing her meta up
- meta is obviously different this game.
here are a few possibilities why:
- she does not care much for this game (which I don't believe)
- her behavior is role dependent and is playing more serious due to role
- she is just trying to work on her meta and experiment
