Mafia TBT Mafia-Korean War (Cancelled)

tbh tardis shouldn't shoot cause scum probably has 3 KP and there could be an SK which could mean up to 5 KP

I strongly disagree - His claim is solid enough to make him a potential target and I find it better to use the shot on one of the people that acts the most scummy than to 'save it' and end up dead either way. Normally I wouldn't say that using your Vig shot on Night 1 is very clever but since we assume there's going to be a lot of deaths either way, taking out a Mafia member to reduce the KP or eliminating the potential SK/third-party killing role could be truly game-changing in town's favour. High risk, high reward! Embrace the "YOLO!" lifestyle!

Tardis are you 1 shot? If you are I think you should save it like entropee says but if not do what you want tbh.

긴조선민주주의인민공화국을살!
I think I'll just type up a post because we need more talking at Night anyways. Anyone who says that they're afraid of death to further our country's purpose should be killed as it is...

I won't really go in-depth in response to Minties' post simply because it's true (the serious part, not the Mafia part). I'm taking this game seriously even though the theme is like so much more exploitable than Faithful June's, and even though serious I'm still having fun with the theme <3. Not to mention, I generally played Mafia on an iPad, and this explains to me why I'm typing properly now (iDevices make me cry to sleep and being on a computer reminds me of typing classes). Enough excuses; nobody cares at all!

We will forever miss 선생 Lenin. 선생 Lenin helped our country tremendously (even if not in this game), and it is saddening to have such a great man be lost. However, we shant be sad; it was the doing of our 영원한대통령! He thinks in ways we can't comprehend, but it will forever be for the best.

Byuntae has no real anything from me. They're relatively inactive, and this can be seen as coasting? Something to keep in mind; last post on TBT was there last post in this thread, about 20 hours ago (at the time of writing).

Crys told us to expect a lot of posts with not much length in his responses to the RQS~
Lynch blue pikachu
When Miharu asked why:
theres a chance he could be Mafia
And then I responded thinking he was making a reference to my avatar or something lol
i'm pathetic and don't look at playerlists soz <3
Either way, I pointed it out then and I'm pointing it out now: This superb piece of logic has only worked against inactives once in my history of Mafia, and it was lynn105 and Horus in The Murder Before Christmas. Maybe Alice in the first Kingmaker? Although that was Ashtot challenging--I still have no idea why he did it nor why it was successful. Dismissing it as sarcasm.
i mean there's a chance anyone could be mafia but I don't think I'll see him contribute as I haven't even seen him post in the forum in awhile.

To whoever wants to answer or whatever idc; if you could have one person lynched or killed right now who would it be?
But then the next one appears. So it was actually going through his head as a possible thing? I guess gut feeling is still there and not to eliminate, but I'm not seeing it~
I didn't like his continuance of it.
After that, he then stops really bringing attention to it, picking a suspicion up on Shiida (SHEE-duh ;)) and then dismissing what he did as reaction-testing. I guess that's okay? I'm not really liking it tbh
Crys adding Endless into his suspicions simply because of controlling behavior--which matches up with every game he's played ever--and then erroneously stating that it's a "recipe for being blocked and frames." The blocks part is totally wrong (as long as the PR's identity stays hidden, unlike in Kirbystarship's possible case), the frames part would be right--if Endless told Det what to do (I don't think he did lol).
Overall, I'm viewing Crys as scum/third party--and for probably all of the wrong reasons because that's just me being amazing

CMD had some fun. Thing is, are you continuing his suspicion, Jared? I'm actually hardcore-townreading CMD despite my vote on him last Day (which was more of a reaction test to get something based off of a hunch, anyways soz </3)... His intentions are in all the right places and he actually was able to pinpoint his gut feelings. I still don't like his pinpointed reason (coast followed by giant fluff post which was apparently huge to look important--not because there was a lot to react to, then a continued coast), but his thought process after coming to the conclusion that I was doing this coasting playstyle makes sense, so we'll credit him there. Either way, I'm calling Jared/CMD Town for now <3

I just realized that I haven't really ever tried to reaction test before ehehe

And this is me, being lazy as hell. I'll get the rest up later (I haven't done Miharu up simply because I'm getting kicked off atm)
So yeah! Sorry about the still amazing amount of fluff, I tried to condense it down to just Ashtot's section.

I don't feel like reading that but okay.

Link to where i dismissed my sus on Shiida for reaction testing

I don't think you did say it was a reaction test. At least I don't remember you saying that

yeah you're right, i guess as long as the shots refunded if he's roleblocked it doesn't really matter

Townreads and leans

9. Tui - Tui's playstyle has reminded me of Steven Universe Mafia when they were town. Their confidence and tone in posts makes me believes they are town. They are questioning others, and analyzing peoples posts. One thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was how they complie with Endless when he said not to use meta.
16. Xine - My gut and your meta say youre town. Although only one poost has been made I like how she was able to analyse ashtots posts and use his meta to read him.
7. KirbyStarShip - Playing how they usually do with small posts. No offense but I see him more as bad town that the scum team and other players are piling up on.
5. Miharu - Like all of other town games, miharu has been able to question oothers, put logic into posts and analyse other players, without the usual questions. Using meta of past games, shes town.

Scumreads and leans
23. Shiida - Ultimate fence sitting. This post also shows it. She says that "if i had to vote right i would probably vote for tardis, but honestly i dont think what hes done is completely enough to label him as scum and suggest a lynch on him. its enough for him to get noticed at best, but again, not deserving of a lynch." She doesn't think tardis deserves a lynch and doesnt want to neccesarily label him as mafia. She then goes on after that and says that scum is in the experienced players after what was said and the kirby vote. Next with this They say inexperienced and experienced, the whole playerlist, this isnt adding anything to the table. Nice fence sitting and back pedaling.

15. Endless - This is a small sus atm but I don't like being told what to do yo... and i dont think other players like the controlling behaviour either.
8. Bluepikachu47 - I have been sus of you since yesterday with your reaction to entropys post, my reaction test and how you 'read' the thread and is only sus of one person and have no town reads or anything to comment on.

Was talking about Bluepikachu.

To clarify this, picking up a suspicion on Shiida and the action dismissed are meant to be two different things <3
Sorry for confusion~

@tui I make longer posts if I'm sus of someone.

well that's nice and everything, but between this post and the post where you FINALLY posted your case on minties (which was still a SHORT POST iirc only about 9-10 lines. that's hardly building a proper case, that's just posting the bare minimum) you must've posted at least another 5 or 6 times saying you were going to do it and you were just finding the posts. in fact you had to refind the posts at one point. why did you put it off for so long? it's not like you weren't active in the thread seeing as you posted a bunch in between where you said you were making a case for minties and the actual 'case'. i'm not sure if i buy into your vig claim either - whereas no-one has come forward and counterclaimed why would they since you could be lying and it would just put a target on their head too. and sataric, as somebody pointed out to me in the last game i played, it is possible that the mafia could have a list of the names to go with each role, so therefore i don't believe that the namedrop is enough to prove that his claim is legitimate.

I can see your reasoning for why you have suspicion of me. I think that this being my first actual mafia game combined with my poor time management skills might have something to do with my poor play quality and lack of contribution, but I do have suspicion of Kirbystarship for the reasons everyone else is suspicious of him, so I'd just be repeating what everyone else is saying if I said why I think he's scum. And MAYBE my response to my interrogation made me seem suspicious, but my odd response was most likely due to me being caught off guard. Again, this is my first game so I didn't know what to expect.

your choice of language as miharu has pointed out is funny - saying that you have been 'caught off guard' implies that you have something to hide. i'd still like to see more thoughts from you on the other players in this game. also, why haven't you caught up? we're over 60 hours into the game and all you've really said that is contributing to discussion is that you think kirby is suspicious, and you haven't even listed your own reasons for thinking that.

It made me more than annoyed with how tui seemed to just comply and accept it. I strongly disagree with what Endless is saying: meta is relevant, especially if it’s recent. Meta-analysis is always relevant when the context makes it so, it does not matter if it’s only one game. I especially find myself more familiar with meta when I have interacted with that person as a certain alignment before, because I read them firsthand rather than researching them later. The newest meta is always the most relevant, because after awhile people may change their play-style: especially if they find themselves losing due to their old play-style. This goes hand-in-hand with my emphasis on not just accepting what someone says, no matter how well they phrase it.
9. Tui - Tui's playstyle has reminded me of Steven Universe Mafia when they were town. Their confidence and tone in posts makes me believes they are town. They are questioning others, and analyzing peoples posts. One thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was how they complie with Endless when he said not to use meta.

i'm going to address these together since i'm pretty hurt by what has happened (lol). i personally did think meta had a large part in reading somebody hence i based part of my suspicions of kirby on his meta - which by the way, is the EXACT same as when he was scum - so i wasn't exactly going to ignore this in my read since it was raising so many red flags. i've only played one game with only a small handful of the players here and so far i've discovered that the benefits of playing mafia within a small group of people is that you get to know people's playstyles and that betters your judgement and reads. but when a more experienced player comes along and basically says 'no don't do that' it's understandable that it made me think twice since i'm still sitting here and learning the ropes of this game as a whole, so now i'm left feeling like a bit of a guillable idiot. another one of the reasons i listened to endless is because i was town-reading him at the time, but now it's been pointed out how controlling his behaviour seems to be i'll have to have another think when i go back through his posts and complete my reads after i finish this post.

@ Everyone who isn't using the "purple votes" system - What have you got to hide? Don't want it put on the record whom you're the most suspicious of, so we can use this information to town's advantage at a later date in the game? Your behavior is greatly frowned up.

i briefly touched upon why i hadn't purple voted at the end of my last post - due to timezones the end of the day/night falls in at an inconvenient time for me, and by the time i'd posted the first half of my reads it was already 12am and i needed to sleep since i had school the next day. even though i was and still am highly suspicious of kirby, i didn't want to throw his name in the hat without having a close look at everybody and making a read for everybody before deciding who i found to be the most suspicious. i like the idea of the purple voting system and will use it on the next day, it was just due to unfortunate timing last night that i couldn't.

Alright, there's a lot I need to address. No tui, you were right to take my advice - Xine is a player with a self-inflated ego and opinion on the relevance of meta, which just caused them to dogpile a lynch on a blue player. I'm going to state it again, meta should not ever be the sole reason for a read, it should only ever be a helpful hand, unless it's a large sample size. Meta is quite literally the most easily abused and circumstantial evidence I've seen used to lynch people over the years I've been playing. Especially when that meta is something along the lines of "they played differently as town last game" or "they played similarly as mafia last game." Don't do it. Ever. Ever.

i've already addressed my feelings on a lot of this above but i feel the need to point out that i'd posted a scum lean on ashtot before xine posted their case so they weren't the only one to have suspicious feelings about them and didn't really 'dogpile' a lynch. kirby and oak's names were put up for possible lynches many more time than ashtot's, and their first post and subsequent disappearance was very suspicious, at least to me. and theoretically dogpiling a lynch on someone isn't really possible since at the end of the day it's only the king's one vote that count for anything.

Omg, reading all this is dedicated time, sorry if I'm slow, I'm trying to better understand this, I'm not posting until I fully understand so I don't screw up, which I'm almost done

uhh, some choice wording there. i didn't find call me daniel suspicious so i'm not going to take anything from your use of words here but i'll be interested in seeing what you have to say about everybody.

Tui, am I to understand that you're defying my experience and claiming that meta is a good method of reading someone, while simultaneously claiming to retract your townread on me because of something that I do which is an integral part of my meta?

You can't have your cake and eat it too. I was townreading you up until this point but I'm starting to wonder if you're just playing crowds' favourite.
