Mafia Noatun, City of Genesis | Bayonetta 2 Mafia | Umbra Witches Win

Rip Corrie ;; I hope you still join future mafia games! The community seems to have changed a LOT, and it's a lot more friendlier and open.

Honestly though every D1 lynch in games with a lot of new players is always a ****lynch, ngl

ALSO I just wanna say (in case anyone is curious) I voted for no lynch since I didn't really think anyone was sus, other than Uttumori, but they did have a valid point, my 'chaotic evil' did come off wrong, but I said it as a reaction test to see how y'all'd react.

Rip corrie

also if you get lynched do you get to make a "goodbye" post?

Yup! Unless it's against the rules Bowie made, I'm pretty sure you can.

I'll try to get reads made, but I want to hear more from y'all. Especially from Ness, inTensu, and amanda

come on people get online and post, if you joined it you gotta keep up with it or at least say why you can't

Forgot to mention that Jacob should be joining us on Day 3, should any of those three end up being killed off tomorrow. Corrie won't be getting replaced, since obviously their death was legitimate.

Anybody else who wants to join should tell me sooner rather than later.

Thanks!

Sheesh, you guys lynched the most clueless person in the entire room.

I'm going to throw this out there: this is the story of two naughty scum lords named Zendel and Primarina who did the typical scum move of "I TOTALLY think you're scum, but I'm reluctant to vote you (but I still will) because I'm scared of what other people will think of me."

Take a look at this post by Zendel.

Corrie's gameplay does seem fishy here, directing the attention on Mori seems like the type of move a maf would do especially because Mori already has one vote against her.

Just because you voted no lynch doesn't decrease any suspicion from me, you could her voting no lynch to try to convince us or throw us off guard, as voting for someone who is already a target seems like a safe move but not voting for them or not voting at all seems like something someone would do if they don't want attention.

My vote may go to Corrie unless you convince me otherwise.

He clearly says here that he is suspicious of Corrie, yet he's saying that his vote may go to Corrie unless he can be "convinced" otherwise. Please, he would have voted for Corrie even if anyone said something about it.

Then he tries to act like an innocent cinnamon bun too good for this world when Corrie died.

Woopsie Daisy.....

Sorry Corrie. =(

Then look at Primarina over here, voting for Corrie at the last second with nothing to boot for it.

Not sure why it's sketchy. I did it because Corrie had the most votes and my philosophy as was discussed in the previous game is that I think a no lynch is silly. I'd rather have a mislynch than not have any new information.

This is as eye-catching as a giraffe on rollar skates. They only voted because they wanted to get in on the bandwagon.

This game is pretty slow so far, if Ness or another veteran posts we'll probably get something started.

Keep in mind of posts with little input during the game (I don't mean in terms of schedule confliction, I mean their posts and what they say), more often than not these people are the ones you should keep your eyes on.

It is early game, so I wouldn't take this advice into consideration at the moment because like it has already been stated, we have barely anything to go off other than Lucanosa's vague wording.

Just to add onto what I said above, this tells me again that Zendel is scared about what to do. He's saying that if someone like me or Amanda come on they'll probably get a lead going, why didn't you bring up something yourself instead of waiting to sheep off someone else's opinion.

If you look at the previous games I've played, I was treated like literal garbage by a specific group of people, and nothing I posted or contributed was ever actually considered (or probably even read/analyzed). I was always the first to be sus, and I the only chance as a townie to help get my views across was to cause chaos, and inevitably disrupt the mafias plans.

Lesbihonest, do you really think I'm that stupid to hang myself on like my first post lmao

Nope, but the reason people "went after you" was because you play like an edge-lord and when someone calls you out on it you imediately make an appeal to the other person by saying "Pfft, oh come on guys! I'm not that dumb lmao lololol"

And please, theres no way that your "chaotic evil" thing is a reaction test. Even if it is what would you even have expected from it?

You silly goose.

Corrie's reactions were odd but then again I should have considered she was new to this like I am. (I played one game, but I'm def not a veteran) I didn't have anything else to really go off, Mori seemed genuine and I would have pointed out what she said myself but she beat me to it.
So that's why I didn't vote for her.

I don't know how I feel about Lucanosa yet.

You, Amanda and Tensu had been inactive at the start. So I couldn't vote for any of you, if I had nothing right?

Primarina is in the mist for me though.

Also Ness, I am a sweet cinnamon bun too good for this world. I don't have to try, okay?

- - - Post Merge - - -

In my last game I was 100% genuine and I was town.

I intend to do the same this time.

- - - Post Merge - - -

Because the game was dead, the people playing were new and were all confused. Like I am.

So it would've been helpful if someone who has played mafia several times made things more exciting and make others give more information by pressuring them.
Something you are good at.

- - - Post Merge - - -

You keep mentioning that I'm "scared" of what to do.

This is early game and there is literally nothing to go of.
There is no useful information at all, just some bad wording and confusion which results in a dumb lynch.

I can't really do anything until I'm provided with information and I'm not good at pressuring people yet or getting reactions out of them.

This is as eye-catching as a giraffe on rollar skates. They only voted because they wanted to get in on the bandwagon.

I didn't say that exactly. I said it was better to vote for someone than no one, even if it was a mislynch, which is exactly what Dolby said in the last game and he wasn't a Sage, so I'm not understanding why it's suspicious to want to know more all of a sudden. Maybe I've missed something as it is only my second game, but I'm not understanding why that's unusual.

Also, how do we know you're not relatively inactive scum swooping in to make people suspicious of others in order to avoid people noticing you?

I think Zendel is null for me? //shrug
The Corrie vote thing was a bit weird, I suppose, but if i had to pick, Primarina is the most sus; the last minute vote could have been a bandwagon...thing.... but I'm not sure

Also Ness is slightly strange too:
"this is the story of two naughty scum lords named Zendel and Primarina"
Lmaooo what
I know you're just throwing it out there, so I guess I shouldn't question it too much? ;;

Oh my goodness I've missed a lot - I'm really sorry guys. I had a thing crop up today that took up all my time and attention. I'll make sure to vote on Day 2, and be a lot more active from now on (real estate agent appointment and bachelorette party tomorrow aside, I'm technically free until Monday!).

GG Corrie, I hope you'll play again.

I started looking up the wikis last night but since not many of us have a history there, I've realised that's not going to be very helpful this game.

As soon as I get home I'll start putting my notes together and then post my first set of reads.

I'm so glad this game is getting active - I've really missed playing, and this is a lot of fun.

:)

Less than three hours remain.

Reminder that if the Sages do not send me a final decision by the end of the countdown, Day 2 will commence without any further action.

I would also like to stress that I may not be active when the countdown ends, so Day 2's post may be a little late.

?I'm just an innocent little girl lost in Wonderland, suffering at the hands of the queen's trumped-up troops!?

The light of day overcame the sleepy city of Noatun, anything but the city that never sleeps, and the Witches were all prepared to finally climb the Holy Mountain, but looking among themselves, they noticed someone was missing.

Lucanosa was killed by the Lumen Sages overnight.

uFjwJ9U.png

Overnight, the Witches became bored and started to wander Noatun aimlessly. Accidentally, one of them came across a Remembrance of Time.

Long ago, an unrecorded catastrophe caused reality itself to split into the Trinity of Realities. The world of chaos (the human world) was created alongside Inferno and Paradiso. Aesir, the God of Chaos, came bearing the gift of light and dark, to prevent this new universe from ever facing another Armageddon.

Aesir, feeling the need to preserve existence despite the never-ending flow of time, also decided to bless the humans with the Remembrances of Time, which were essentially hidden portals to events of the past and future, scattered all across the world, detailing certain events in time, almost like a photograph, except one that you could step into.

This Remembrance of Time in particular has reunited the Witches with an old face from the dark days of the Witch Hunts:

YDMEMVL.png

Introducing Umbra Witch Rosa, a powerful senior Witch (and new role), whose love for a Lumen Sage resulted in her own eternal imprisonment by the Umbra. Now, during these dark days of the Witch Hunts, she has been set free.

A random Witch has been reassigned as Rosa, and has been granted protection from today's lynch and protection from tonight's kill. It is impossible for Rosa to be a Sage in disguise.

If Rosa is voted for, your vote will have been wasted, and the same goes for if the Sages choose to kill her.

She is not allowed to unveil herself to anybody, even if everybody is wasting a vote on her. It is for her own safety.

Every day from this day forward, a new Witch will be reassigned as Rosa.

Items are also now available! A certain gunsmith has kindly dropped off some of his finest works of art for you to use in your journey across the City of Genesis, albeit for a price!

As mentioned in the catalogue, Sages cannot use Eternal Testimony (for hopefully obvious reasons).

Players have an inventory capable of holding a maximum of two items.

Players can only buy and/or use items during Day phases.

Players can only put items into effect once. Items they have already bought cannot be bought again. There are no restocks.

As mentioned in the catalogue, Eternal Testimony can only be used once by one player in the entire game. There cannot be multiple Rosas. When someone purchases the item, the current Rosa of the day is turned back into an ordinary Witch.

Day 2 has begun. You have until the end of the countdown to decide on a lynch in the voting thread.

I ran out of time to be thorough but better sent now than not in case I'm killed N1 again lol :

1. Uttumori - Townlean - is offering opinions freely and contributing
2. Lucanosa - Null - the RQS doesn't bother me but the responses to other's about it have me paying close attention to them for now
3. Tensu - Null - not enough to go on
4. Primarina - Null/Townlean - nothing jumps out at me for now
6. toadsworthy - Null/Townlean - nothing jumps out at me for now
7. N e s s - Null - that "giraffe on rollerskates" post has me paying attention to them
8. amanda1983 - I need sleep
9. Zendel - Townlean - is offering opinions freely and contributing
10. Nightmares - Townlean - is offering opinions freely and contributing

Oops I must've read the countdown timer wrong, thought I had til 9am.

GG Lucanosa.

Wow, a Rosa and items - cool!

How would you handle the votes if a player is Rosa then?

If they have the most votes and their Rosa would it not be a dead giveaway that their town if they don't get lynched?

I didn't say that exactly. I said it was better to vote for someone than no one, even if it was a mislynch, which is exactly what Dolby said in the last game and he wasn't a Sage, so I'm not understanding why it's suspicious to want to know more all of a sudden. Maybe I've missed something as it is only my second game, but I'm not understanding why that's unusual.

You have ZERO excuses for voting for Corrie. You have CLEARLY said that you voted for Corrie for none other reasoning that everyone else was voting for Corrie. Which, can easily be found here:

I did it because Corrie had the most votes.

The difference between you and Dolby is that Dolby is highly active and questioning when it comes to him voting, whether he is mafia or town, good lynch or mislynch. The thing with you is that you have NOTHING to say about your reasoning for a vote beside wanting to vote for someone.

I want you to tell me who you are suspicious of in the thread and why, as well as give me a solid answer as to why you thought Corrie was worthy of a lynch. And don't you dare try and strawman me by saying "I've already said why I voted Corrie".

And about the last part of your post.

Also, how do we know you're not relatively inactive scum swooping in to make people suspicious of others in order to avoid people noticing you?

Why don't you take a look at my 2 posts so far and compare them to 3 players in the game. I have more thought provoking content then Uttumori, Nightmares, and Amanda (giving her benefit of the doubt, I've seen her play and I respect her.) combined.

When I'm mafia, I don't point fingers. I make fluffy posts that make me look like I'm doing something. When I'm town I go guns blazing even if it ends up screwing me later on. Plus, I've been doing testing all this week, I've been very busy. School > Mafia.

How would you handle the votes if a player is Rosa then?

If they have the most votes and their Rosa would it not be a dead giveaway that their town if they don't get lynched?

Yes, it would be. But a vote on a Rosa is essentially a wasted vote, giving the Sages another opportunity to kill without any of them being caught themselves.

Rosa is forbidden to reveal her identity to anyone, so it's bad in some ways and good in others. It's a very selfish role to have.
