Mafia American Politics Mafia - Game Over - Town Wins!

I'm trying to wrap my head around this election/president mechanic. For town the benefit is obvious, but why would mafia want to even be it? the double voting? that seems like high-risk low-reward type of stuff

the only reason mafia would want it i can think of is to auto win lylo, not much else since being pres doesnt automatically give you a town read or smth, if anything it leaves you up to more scrutiny

The bodyguard aspect of the presidency is probably worth it for mafia, I'm guess that kinda confirms the inclusion of a vig role and maybe even a second shooting (I kinda suspect hostile third) which maf would be safe from

Toad straight up telling people to vote for him leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but other than that his posts don't seem suspicious. This is likely just me, but it feels somewhat as if he has an agenda behind his posts. Although Punchy is being his usual spamming sheep self, I don't understand why he has tunnel vision on Rune right now. His "You'll see" thing has a bit ominous, so maybe we'll see what means by that in the future.

Kinda town leaning Vanessa based off of tone, Dolby feels a little bit townish as well, but both of these reads just based off of minor analysis of posts.

My agenda is to be president and I don't trust you or Dolby... so what else but run myself, scared of some competition?
 
The bodyguard aspect of mayor is far more valuable to town than mafia. If the Mayor was going to be shot by vig, theyd probably be lynched by town the next day in most situations

That being said, I’m being sucked up to by Punchy, and frankly I like it, but really, I see his willingness to vote me as a sign of towniness. We already know that he has a pretty high opinion of me, which I feel is why he’s fine risking me as Mayor. As scum, I personally feel that he’d be buckling for a teammate as a power play

I also kinda feel like Runeraider is town for his recent comments on the lack of usefulness of the mayor to mafia. Seemed pretty genuine. The way that he addressed it seemed to me like a focus on a foreign standpoint. Practicularly, #65 I don’t see scum saying (Toads did bring it up, but I find his interaction with that less telling)

Wouldn't the vote for president rn essentially be a random vote? Like couldn't mafia be elected with a double vote and protection too?

Your agenda is that your posts feel forced, you don't see me actively telling everyone to vote me based off of little qualifications. If you want to be elected, then you'll be elected based on whether or not people trust you; so far you are not doing a good job of that.

And yes, it is perfectly fine for you to not trust me, all I'm doing is looking at every possibility. And, as of yet, your posts don't come off to be as "yes, he would be a great president".

@Dolby I agree to basically all of your reads, they all reflect what I've been thinking of so far; I have a google doc open and I'm writing entries on every player, everything you've said basically mirrors mine.

An innocent child is a role that is revealed by the host to town, the delayed is just a role modification to make it be announced at a later phase.

Although, I don't really think that glow softed Innocent child in that post. I think it was more of a reference to the fact that she gets N1'd in almost every game she plays.

Instead you made a button for your sig and changed the catchphrase above your avatar. All you have said is that you would use the president/mayor power to push your own personal wants... thats not exactly who I want to have that power. And dolby is an awkward pick too rn. If anyone else shares this viewpoint with me, then I'm your candidate. If someone else wants to run with a more inclusive stance too, then thats cool... but right now I don't feel comfortable with either of you being elected

Basically, I was thinking that if Glow was being serious there with her claim, and it wasn’t her saying that she’s transparent or going to be inspected, that an innocent child or confirmed town would be the best pick for Mayor, as we don’t have to worry about ultiior motives and they would be a target for night kills anyway

Please, you are acting so immature about this. The button is a joke that I asked Waffles to make, I'm clearly not taking it seriously. I may as well not even run for president if I'm going to get comments like this, I expect better then petty insults from you

I'm just going to drop this since I don't want a back and forth kiddy fight between me and toads about who is better.
