    Gintama's fun, clever, emotional and is just a barrel of awesome, but Madoka Magica has a special place because of how I got to experience it, how Miki Sayaka's story resonated with me, her insecurities and stuff. There's just a more tearjerking and heartwrenching level of storytelling (not to mention the amazing artwork and music) that Gintama simply couldn't touch. Even though Gintama has parodies of shounen anime, it still feels like a typical shounen anime sometimes.
