I saw you mentioned how you hoped you could have a dog for the experience because you haven't had a pet that was furry before and that you have an aquarium. And the dog idea didn't work out, sorry to hear.
I wanted to say that I have some small aquariums, and long term wise im switching from small animals/dogs to aquariums. I have some small dogs, most of them are seniors, but man the cost of them has gone up so much over the past few years due to inflation, where I live.

Hi, Suguri! I hope you’re doing well! I also wanted to second that liking stuff that is supposedly made for kids doesn’t dictate your maturity level.

That was still very much a misconception even back when I was in elementary school. I don’t recall many specific moments from school but an incident that stuck out was when a 10-year-old at the time said he was too old for Pokémon. That was back when I was their age and I’m 27 now, so it doesn’t seem like much has changed there. People still judge based on interests, but the important thing is that you don’t let it get to you.

For what it’s worth, I think you are mature for your age. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I will be checking back on the forums every so often but just wanted to post here and say that I might be less active from now until the flower breeding event? We'll see. Life issues and stuff are getting to me...so there's that I guess.

also wanted to say, I'll be 26 years old in June and I'm working on my master's degree in LIS, I'm a pretty responsible adult, and I still greatly prefer to read and write stories targeted at juveniles. I've been really enjoying reading the Dog Man books for the first time! but the point is, liking stuff that's "made for kids" doesn't make you any less mature. and I know that I wasn't very responsible as a 17 year old, it's something that you will get better at with time. you are perfectly fine just as you are
