    I can appreciate your political posts. I don’t often speak my views because it always ends up in an argument or someone disagreeing. The issue I have is that others can freely discuss their views without getting silenced if it’s a far-left opinion everyone agrees with. It’s a double-standard that I’ll never understand.

    I think we share some of the same views, though, and I’m happy you aren’t afraid to speak your mind. Really, I appreciate your insight.

    It’s not just the conservatives that I defend. It’s also the politically neutral and moderates that I would protect. To the far-left, those who agree with both sides or refuse to get involved are just as bad as the conservatives (let alone, the alt-right). I cannot buy this argument. As long as people aren’t hurting others or supporting those that hurt others, then they should be fine.

    The other thing is that having a different opinion does not give opponents a license to bully/harass/discriminate against them, even if said opinion does make them look evil in their eyes. My initial reason to support civility is to ensure that everyone on TBT gets along without starting arguments, but this should apply everywhere, not just TBT.
