That's definitely another valid point now that you mention it, Universal Healthcare would definitely bog down the efficiency of the healthcare services and possibly cause a degradation of the quality of care (which is very interesting since a lot of healthcare professionals are taught about the importance of care quality). I think the problem at the end of the day is that a lot of people are ignorant of the big, long term picture and are only thinking about the short term. Unfortunately, a lot of politicians on the left are exploiting that to their advantage... :/

I never thought of that aspect of the issue before, but it does make sense! Plus, some religious people may not want to pay their taxes towards procedures they disagree with (the Constitution would give them the right to not pay taxes for something due to religious beliefs). Definitely a big mess we should avoid at all cost! lol

It definitely is not an "uneducated" viewpoint to be against Universal Healthcare. Being educated in politics does not require a college education like some people make it out to be, all you need is common sense at your disposal. To me, there is benefits to both systems, but I think our current healthcare system is working just fine and is the lesser of the 2 evils per say. I feel like an Universal Healthcare system would cost taxpayers so much money (along with the Federal Government) that it would be unsustainable especially as the human population continues to grow and more people are going to live longer which means we will essentially be dealing with an exponential curve for a time period (depends on how many kids generation X/Y/Z have).
