    Oh? That's funny. I actually played the bassoon as my primary instrument for a decade. It's a fun instrument. Although it's so awkward to carry around and play and everything. The reeds are sooo much more forgiving than oboe reeds, and they last so much longer. I really miss that. I'm the only oboist at my college and I get so nervous about rehearsals and performances because reeds can go from good to bad/unplayable in no time whatsoever.

    It's not like I'd me too much less nervous soloing on the bassoon, though. I never really mastered that instrument either. =/

    Aw, you don't need to apologize. I agree! I played the bassoon before the oboe, so I've played them both.
