I don't really need bells, I have plenty in the ABD. I'm thinking one way to "fix" this would be to do the cycling all over again: cycle my 8 desired villagers out of Main Street and adopt them all over again, so they can be cycled back to Main Street. I'd have to cycle about 20 new villagers out of my game, and the mere thought is tiring, but it might be the only way to get everything back to normal without hacking.

Having another villager move in would be a viable option if it wasn't for the fact that I do not let foreign villagers move in to my town; I only accept my own campers, because I dislike the "I used to live in..." dialog that foreigners have. I'd take her and move her out, but I've been cycling so that 8 very specific ex villagers of mine appear on Main Street, and letting her move in would make one of them disappear forever. I will either have to break my own rule and adopt a foreign villager for the first time, or I'll have to find a way to hack the game and make Ruby disappear. I don't like hacking and can't event do it on my 3DS since I have the latest firmware, and my game is a digital copy, so asking for someone else's help isn't an option too.

Not at the moment, I'll have to look up workarounds that don't involve hacking and see if I manage to get her not to plot her house.
