Exactly. My old Ice White 3DS is defective when ACNL is being played, yet every other game I had on that system is working flawlessly. Occasionally, when it tries to load anything, the game would crash and bring me back to the HOME Menu. I've transferred everything to my 3DS XL, and it's working perfectly since then. Same thing when I made it to the New 3DS model.
I'm not sure on what exactly did you meant when you said that you sounded stupid years ago. You didn't posed any problem to me as far as I know, therefore apology accepted.

If you meant my Japanese version, well it's no longer freezing since I'm no longer playing on that defective 3DS model.

Hmmm dunno sounds strange to me, did you have recent visitors in your town around that time? I have flowers by my cafe but they never glitched out. I think that time it was probably a thief, if you didn't have recent visitors around that time then I'd probably say it was some strange glitch o_o
Hopefully others had the same problem (Well, having the problem isn't good in the first place)or else they were probably stolen or you lost them by putting them in a hard to find spot -
