This is the second of the three thirds to review.
May:
The first month of the mid-year did not start out well. I had my 3DS confiscated due to procrastinating on a major college assignment, as well as some horrible posts I made on GameFAQs forums. But this month was one of the best months in 2014 (in my opinion). It also has the second most signifcant event of the year.
After I finally got that college assignment done, I got my 3DS back, but I didn't feel like playing. I also went out to eat at a restaurant in my area for the first time since my stomach surgery. Mom and I were together as the rest of the family did something else besides eat where I went. I also took my finals and finished everything for the semester at the juinor college I went to.
On the day after my semester ended, I went back to Coushatta casino resort. That time, the trip was much better, even though I only got to stay for two nights. Two more people went with us, I got to eat some good food, and nothing went wrong. The best part of the trip was that I won. On Video Roulette, an individual gaming machine, not only I won a straight bet with a ten chip bet (which is rare), but I somehow ended up getting $300 by playing. I texted my best high school friend about what I won. On the next day, I won another $160 by playing Rapid Roulette, which is the table game where every player has their own touchscreen near a wheel.
I had $20 left home before I went, so my total was $480. I felt that it was enough for a WiiU. So what did I get with that big money? A WiiU. It was expensive, but I had little over $200 left. Not only that, I was forced to get a bundle. My game was Skylanders: Swap Force. I spent most of the second third training my Skylanders by maxing them out. Unfortunately, I did not get all 56 or trained all what I got, but I was able to max out 30 of them (29 of them by August).
June:
Normally, I do not like summer because of the heat and how boring it can get. But this year, the core of the mid-year (June and July) has made it to the top of the year. June was the month I went to Kansas, the month I created StarFall, and the month I had more Skylanders to train. I wouldn't say that this is the best month, but it is high up there, like top three.
I went to Kansas around the weekend of Friday the 13th with my mom. She had to attend a wedding, and normally, she goes alone. But that time, I chose to go because I'm a mommy's boy. On the road, I was preparing for the town of StarFall by looking for what items my characters will own and what they'll wear. The bingo thing was annoying when I try to complete a set as the Snowman Series was virtually impossible to get. On the day after the road trip, the luck I had from Coushatta still did not run out. I went to Dave & Busters with Mom on Friday the 13th and got the opposite of what the day brings to you - good luck. I got two jackpots from the arcade, which was enough to get a hot dog machine and a few novelty cups. I noticed that the tickets have changed to electronic tickets where I don't even see a disadvantage. I ate at T-Rex Café, got to see some friends, and purchased a new 3DS XL with the remaining money I had before I left back to Texas.
After returning home, I have done the big thing, and you may know what it is. I'm talking about the creation of StarFall. June 18th was the day my town was created, but as a time traveler, I set the date to January 2nd in-game. I brought in everything I had from Belcroft, my old town, before I ended up deleting it. StarFall was the only town I had since then.
July:
July was the best month of the year. As I was training my Skylanders and working on the town of StarFall, July was the peak of all that. Although my sister and mother had to do some fun thing together out of town at the beginning, thus leaving my grandmother in charge.
Towards the middle, the same high school friends that visited me in March visited me again. We watched Halloween Wars together as I shown them my town of StarFall. The best day of the year was the Friday they were there. I was originally planning on taking them to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, but we decided to go to Medieval Times in Dallas instead. Besides, I like Medieval Times more. Not only I got to go with some friends outside the family to Medieval Times for the first time, but it was also the first time our knight won. This was an exciting trip.
I can't remember much in the month after my friends left, but I know that I was working on StarFall and training some Skylanders.
August:
The last month of the mid-year was the worst month of the mid-year, but it was simply because it didn't make it to the top three. But this was another month something significant happened. I was building a Lego model through the Lego digital designer and joined Lego Ideas to share my model. I can talk more about that when I get my third model complete.
Before I joined Lego Ideas, I went to Coushatta again, but I wasn't as well-performing as last time. I liked going there mainly for three reasons: to stay in their hotels, to eat, and to play their games. The false fire alarms scared me though. But I still liked going to the casino. I haven't went back since I left.
Oh, and one last thing, I started university college at the end of the month. I was there throughout most of the time I was on TBT.
That's all for the second third of the year. Wanna know about my personal life while I was on TBT? Check out tomorrow's entry.
