… 2023 celebratory arch?

Will there be a 2023 celebratory arch?

There were ones for 2021 and 2022.

This is supposed to be just before a New Year arrives.

it would be nice and a lovely surprise if there was, but considering nintendo’s said they’re done with new horizons, i doubt it. i don’t think we’ll be getting any more new items from them in general, unless we get lucky lol.

I completely forgot about that... Like @xara said above they probs wont due to them not doing anymore updates unless they do add it in game when they had the sparkling cider for the new year.

I believe we will. I think Nintendo would just patch the game to add them in and then go back to being on standby. Consider in City Folk that shirts were in the game with the year printed on them.

I was disappointed when I realized the arch wasn’t there. I’m surprised they didn’t add it with the last update. I wish I had bought more last year. It’s too bad they didn’t just have them say happy new year. So they could be there every year.

Honestly, I wish Nintendo would just allow modding in the next Animal Crossing. (Especially if they aren't going to do paid DLC).

I Mean...it would make sense if they didn't want modding because they wanted to charge people for additional content...but, when they only do so many free updates and then make nothing else...then we get situations like this. If they just had an official modding community (something we've seen in games like Fallout and Minecraft), then we could easily have a 2023 arch along with anything else that people feel compelled to make. Officially supported modding for games that don't have paid DLC should just become a commonplace thing. Something like New Horizons is the absolutely ideal type of game for it. And if you worry about inappropriate content, then you could do one of two things...(have an officially moderated "marketplace" for the content, OR simply make islands with modded content locked to visitors).

Anyway...long story short, it would be nice to have a 2023 arch, but I'm kinda doubting it now.

According to Nookipedia, the 2021 arch was sold 22 Dec 2020 - 05 Jan 2021 (but states 01 Jan 2021 - 15 Jan 2021 on another website), and the 2022 arch was sold 01 Jan 2022 - 15 Jan 2022. I know Nintendo have announced no more major updates, but given that it’s a single item, I’m personally hoping it’s better late than never.

I just put out the two I had, placing them backward so the years couldn’t be seen.

It’s not a perfect resolution but it worked for my villagers and me!

It's a bit odd considering how many years they planned ahead in past games lol. City Folk has a shirt up until 2035, and the game came out 2008!

Kills me, but sometimes? I think you're right.
AC has been such a large franchise with quite possibly one of the most loyal communities/fanbases out there. It's sad it don't get the attention I feel it deserves.

They only care about Pocket Camp but thats only because of the microtransactions with the Leaf Tickets.
