I thought there would be a pinned/dedicated thread for this but couldn't find one, please let me know if i overlooked one.

anybody had any of these issues? just wondering if they're even repairable:

for 2DS, fell on floor on side (not on screen), now when turning it on makes normal sounds but display looks like lightning. there are not any visible cracks on screen, but the display looks as though a layer of lcd is broken or something.

for 3DS, was shutting off sometimes when top screen rotated backwards all the way. now, when turning it on it makes a sounds like lightbulb popping or an overloaded electrical outlet popping and nothing else happens.

Anybody had any of these issues, and managed to have them repaired? if so- where and for how much?

thanks!

Your 2DS has internal damage caused by the fall- mainly with the inner screen (the one that displays the game and all)

I think your 3DS has a really bad battery or it's wires aren't that good anymore

Not really sure how much it'll cost to repair them but in general it's best to call up Nintendo or some electronic fixer to see what can be done and if the costs add up to the amount of a new 3DS then just get the 3DS.
