.

blaster/splatling player here with motion controls. all it takes is just practice and good prediction, really. since blasters have area damage it's much more easy to get splats and chip damage but since splatlings require you to aim from a long distance, i have trouble aiming sometimes. just mess with your sensitivity settings and press the y button a lot

Big mood and I don't use motion controls at all. It's like the aimer is completely off lol.

I play a variety of weapons (although I have been using the Kensa Sloshing Machine lately), and I'd say I have average accuracy. I play with motion controls, and it's soo much easier than without having them on in my experience with playing the game. Sometimes i'll get 2 kills, sometimes i'll get 20 (rarely). On average I get 8 per match. Most of the time, it's because the other person could splat me before I could get to them but I will admit I have aimed for the floor instead of the other person more times than I can count if i'm playing as a standard shooter or dualies, something along those lines.

I think it also has to coincide with how much experience you have with a certain weapon, for example I have better aim with my Sloshers than Splattershots, and it's probably because I played a lot of Soda Slosher/Sloshing Machine in the OG Sploon, but not so much in the second game. I also tend to get less panicky with them as with my Hero Shot where i'll end up shooting in the wrong direction.

Also what helped me is testing out different sensitivity settings. Go into the practice room, mess around with it, and see what you like.
