That was what I kept forgetting! Sharpening!Nikoking said:You're right, this is way more better with just one focal point. The line's okay, it's unnecessary but still adds some detail into the signature. Once again, tone down the brightness. Here's a trick I use when lowering down the brightness: First off I use a gradient map with black and white. Second, set that gradient map layer to normal @ 25% - 40%. Use whatever works with you, and it should tone down the brightness a bit more. The focal and effects are a bit blurry, maybe a little sharpening might help? The light source at the top is huge, most light sources should be small. The lighting needs improvement, try using different kinds of lighting to see which one suits you best. Overall: A 7.8/10.
Looks better, although it could have more flow.Bacon Boy said:Something I tossed together really quickly...
I wanted to test that thing that people are doing about have their character "come out" of their sigs.
Not bad, I like the simple lines on the right. Doesn't look blurry at all, and the pop-out render works really smooth. The BG needs more improvement though, it feels like a motion blur with some filter effects on it. For most BGs I like to smudge the render with the chalk brush on PS (I'm not sure if it's on your PS version though). It's an 8/10.Bacon Boy said:Something I tossed together really quickly...

Don't have that. I smudged it, but the smudge level was too high. :/Nikoking said:Not bad, I like the simple lines on the right. Smudge it with a texture brush at a low level next time. Does your photoshop have the brush settings?Bacon Boy said:Don't have that. I kinda like it though.
It does. I'll probably do that.Nikoking said:Smudge it with a texture brush at a low level next time. Does your photoshop have the brush settings?Bacon Boy said:Don't have that.
