Not gonna bother with an introduction or anything jazzy because I just kinda wanna let out some of my thoughts;

- The dialogue and villager interactions suck, and are just as bad (so far) if not worse than New Leaf's. Villagers get tired of you talking to them after about 2 interactions, and barely ping you for anything. It was one of (if not the biggest) the main issues that New Leaf had, and it sucks so see that from what we know, it hasn't been improved much. I've seen comments about how interactions become more lively as you progress, and I hope that's the case

- The whole 'native flower' thing is really annoying. I got Chrysanthemums as my designated island fruit, and I've been time travelling n' all that good stuff and no other types of flowers have appeared on my island. Same goes for mystery tours, I'm only seeing Chrysanthemums. I understand that one of New Horizons' big 'game-changers' is the multiplayer, but forcing people to trade flowers isn't how I was hoping they'd push that. :c

Yeah that's all, please feel free to add on or to critique me on what I just said! c:

i wasn't aware that there was a native flower when i started playing.
otherwise i would have reset a ton of times, because i got lilies and i hate them. lol

about the dialogue, i'm hoping that it will get better as the game progresses.

Isn't the dialogue something that changes as time goes on, and can be altered through version updates? Pretty sure they've said that a couple times before.

I got windflowers as my native but I just buy hecka flowers from nooks so I have pansies, tulips, and hyacinths. You get a weird option to gift random villagers whatever after talking to them enough times

I didn't know about a native flower either, but it totally makes sense. I've only seen tulips in my town so far and luckily I don't mind them. (Would have loved pansies or violets more but oh well ;)) anyway, I've only seen hyacinths on the mystery tours so far, but I've been able to buy different flowers from Timmy. But yeah I agree that a native flower is absolutely unnecessary.

About the dialogue: the interactions disappointed me right away. I really hope there's an improvement, because that's a real deal breaker for me.

If I could go back and reset for lilies as a native flower, or to get tammy as my starting uchi, I totally would. But I’m already very far in. I do love my cherries and my map though.

I hate how the windows of your house are tied to the wallpaper you use. So if you want your house to have windows (which propably most of us would like), you can only use specific types of wallpaper. Custom-designs always get rid of the windows, as far as I can tell...
It's a really baffling design-choice. I'm hoping that there will be a method to change that later on.

I noticed I get one ping a day from my villagers, and that's right when I start up the game. No matter how much I play, they never ping me again whereas in NL you were pretty guaranteed to get a 'ping' after a while. Does anyone else have any other experiences? Or is it really just once a day?

You can get flower types that aren't your natives from Mystery Tours. I have gotten at least 2 different flower types from tours.

i agree with the villager dialogue - i really hope it does get more lively as time goes on but it sucks that they get tired of you so quickly lmao.

i didn’t know about the native flower, either, but mine is hyacinths and so far i have only discovered those and tulips during the island tours - i did get pansies from nook’s, however.

It doesn't take that long to get most flower types if you progress normally.

I love the game, but I kinda share the dialogue sentiment here. Its a bit stale. I think the npc's havecmore depth and better dialogue.

Oh and unrelated, where are the sharks. I haven't seen a single one. Wrong season? Sigh... They will be the main attraction of my museum.

Just had to fix one thing :)

In all seriousness though, i'm pretty sure there's still a chance of getting not native flowers from your random island tours, and can't you buy some from Timmy/Tommy? And of course the dialogue will get better as you become better friends with your villagers :)

same with me! i'm still on day three, but i thought that they would ping more. hopefully this changes once we progress more in the gme

I agree with the Dialogue issues, although it is the 3rd day for me so all my villagers were talking about the new island or their house. While it gets repetitive, its honestly better than the annoying tutorial dialogue we were stuck with :').

Honestly my only complaint will be... the music. Its so sad, I love the music, I love the gentle guitar and the leaves and the wind. But I can only listen to a single track for so long. I know there are reports that we get more music when we upgrade the nookin tent, but I can't keep listening to the same track for a week straight :((((.

I agree with the dialogue thing- I am. So tired. Of repeating dialogue. I even sent a letter to Axel in hopes that the letters would be more interesting than the things he says.

My complaint is the extra number of steps you gotta go through to place down patterns on the ground. It's SO tedious I just may start skipping it.
