a few questions about threads

I'm new to this forum and not the most computer savvy. How do I put lines through text (as opposed to underlining) and how do I merge posts

Post merges seem to happen automatically when you double post. Strike-through text is probably done by entering text between [ s ][/ s ] (minus the spaces). Threads are topics that people post in. This is a single thread among all the others in the New Leaf Subforum.
