Welcome, to the humble island of Tarasaigh, established on March 20th 2020...

A little late to be doing an island journal, but here it is none the less, I hope you enjoy reading about my little island.

Tarasaigh is named after the Gaelic for the island of Taransay off the coast of Scotland. I was looking for uninhabited islands to name my island after, and narrowed it down to a few choices and let my bunny pick the final one, which was Tarasaigh.

I had the game preordered since June the year before, aside from the gamecube, I’ve played every AC game.

Though the island is now fully done, having gone through 2 major changes, I loved the process of planning it, and ended up getting a 2nd switch so I could make a 2nd island. I want to redo parts of Tarasaigh, but I know if I redid the whole thing, I’d end up with something similar to what I have now, so.

So, I’m planning on have a minor redevelopment on Tarasaigh, I know what I’m going to do for 2 of the 3 areas, but the 3rd area, the entrance, I’ve got no idea. See how it is currently, is my Nooks and Ables are the right hand side of my resident services with a river running though them, which I really like, but in order to connect the river to the southern outlet, I’ve had to run it in front of resident services, which hasn’t left me a lot of room to be honest, so I want to either move it or narrow it down.

Now I was thinking of extending the ponds either side of the museum, but that also presents the problem, of how to connect the 2. I could move the shops, but that would be a faff, and I like the open area outside the museum. I could run the river behind resident services, but I’m not sure how that would look/work, maybe it’s a test it and see, but I’ve included what I’ve done so far below, so you can get the gist of what I mean

So, back at it again with the planning, didn’t like how I’d done it last night, so just been spending some time getting rid of last nights mistakes :’D

I’m trying to work out how best to connect the southern river exit with the rest of the water ways. I want to keep the bit at the bottom of the museum as like a pond, but that only leaves the area where my pond is by the back of my house, which would mean I either have to make my garden shorter, or get rid of the incline there, I do have another incline up to that 2nd level near the museum, so you can still access it, but I’m not sure :L

Just too indecisive and too much of a perfectionist :’D

Again, taken a while, but I've also renovated the Japanese Garden (Yes, I know the terracotta warriors are Chinese, not Japanese, it just looks cool, okay?) I'll repost the Dream Address once I've got the entrance finished, it's nearly done, but not quite!

Been a while since I posted anything on my journal, but in all honesty, I've not been doing too much with the island, since it's mostly done. I do however have some photos I've taken recently, for a friend to reference for a drawing, and of toy day, so, I'll post those below
