A question on town fund

So, I just finished paying off my full loan, and will get the flag tomorrow. I'm planning to get the fountain, bridge etc. I remember donating a few thousand bells to the town fund all the way in the beginning...
So my question is : Do I have to donate 200000 bells in one go to get the bridge? Or do you have to donate a total of 200k bells..

I think you can pay like 10k now,
But I suggest paying the full 200k

Ah =) So... If I donate 200k now, it should work even though I donated a bit at the beginning of the game?

Yes, You could donate 400k.
200k for bridge
200k for fountain, Then all you have to do is donate another 300k
It should work like that.. I think. xP

I have always giving it like 200k
then 500k

When I did it, I did it in a giant lump sum each time

Be careful donating too much, because I'm not really sure if it counts it. I think I over donated a few times and it never carried over.
