About the mailbox

Yesterday I accidentally picked up my mailbox, and I had no idea that was possible.
Which got me thinking if there are any other good places to put it other than at the house.
I've put mine at the airport at the entrance of my island.
The annoying thing is that you cant rotate for some reason.

So has anyone else noticed this or am I a big dummy that doesn't pay much attention to anything.

someone pointed out elsewhere that in one of the trailers mailboxes weren't always right in front of islander homes. thank you for making this topic, i was wondering how to do that! now i just have to think of a cool layout for my home and implement it...

you pick it up like a normal item and drop it like a normal item

unfortunately, it seems be be forced into being front-facing, but it's peaceable in any open spot you could drop regular furniture outside on your island

haven't tested inside your home though, and I'll assume you can't drop it on a nook miles island or anything either

Probably follows the same rules as the construction kits.

I tried putting it inside my house earlier but it didn't allow me to do it sadly.

I put a fence around the front of my house a few several steps, and I put my mailbox right in front of it to the left of the little "opening" in the fence where my imagined gate is. I actually love this feature and I actually did it by accident too!!! I think it's super cute.
