I have some questions I?d like to ask those who collect amiibo cards:

1. What do you consider a ?complete? collection? Just your favourites? All S1-4, +WA, +Sanrio? Does region matter?
2. Did you complete you collection? How long did it take you? Was it a continuous effort or was it an on/off situation?
3. How much money did you spend? Including tax, shipping, postage fees from trading or buying.
4. Where did you go/what did you do to acquire your collection?
5. What did you do/what will you do with your extras after your collection?s complete?

Any other questions welcome!
Thanks for sharing your journey!

1. Having all the cards are in my possession.

2. I have only the promos and Sanrio ones. They were all gifts.

3. None, as they were all gifts. Though, it totaled somewhere around $300 just for them.

4. I got the gifts from Amazon and Ebay, I will likely get the rest from both places.

5. Once I am finished collecting, I will either sell or giveaway the extras.

Wow! I never thought about gifting. And you got the rare ones! Lucky!!
I think you can buy on Etsy too, Ebay prices always seemed crazy to me.

I've got all of series five (RV cards), a fan made Sanrio set plus a couple of legit Sanrio, and a few of my favorites from all the other series.

I've got all the amiibo figures as well to do with AC, including the Zelda and MH amiibo's.

Are you saying you have Callie and Marie too? Those two are my idols and they cost so much now a days, you’re very fortunate!”

1. All cards and Amiibo figures.

2. I have all the cards and Amiibo figures. Series 1 took the longest to complete. The cards were new and were sold out everywhere.
With Series 2 getting released too soon it was easier to get the cards. A lot of people weren't finished collecting Series 1.
Series 4, Welcome Amiibo and Sanrio set were fast to collect. WA and Sanrio took one day to complete.

3. I didn't keep track.

4. Bought cards and later boxes from the local gaming store. Each Series the local gaming store would order a box for me.
Traded Series 1 cards on this board. For the rest of the Series I traded with same people.
Bought the cards on Amazon.ca and Ebay.ca from the same sellers. Early on the same seller sold the cards for $2 including shipping.
Checked local online store sites like Kijiji.ca. For those trades I met them in a local coffee shop with a family member waiting outside.

5. Extra cards get used to scan in villagers for extra towns. I try to not use my collection.
Sent bonus cards with my trades, friend that had a bad trade, to my daughter and the young girl that worked at the gaming store.

1. Every card / Amiibo
2. I'm missing 11 cards total out of all the series. Sanrio and Amiibo are complete. Has been an on and off situation.
3. Too many cards over too much time to keep track.
4. Packs, Boxes, trading (online and in real life)
5. I'll probably gift some, and hold onto others in case a new series is released with Horizons for trade stock.
