i pushed my sister into playing acnl back in 2015! she stopped for a while because college...but shes playing it again since its summer! her town is too cool i hate it ;; (her paths are perfect and she has a fully upgraded house...once i planted bamboo behind her house in hopes of it multiplying and infesting her town, but she dug them all up and sent them back to me xD

My little brother gave back his 2DS I gave him like last year. i bought him mk7 with it but he said it was boring (hes way more into playstations and stuff like that, idk why i even tried haha)

Since I have an unused 2DS, and animal crossing is getting a way cheaper price (20$), i thought i'd give it to my mom. i wonder if she'll like it...She said the only video game she played as a kid was a colecovision, so idk what she'll think of it haha!

does anyone play ACNL in your family besides you?

nope im the only one, my brothers think its dumb and childish

My daughter plays sometimes, but not nearly as much as me. My sister also plays.

I would have never started AC if it wasn't for my son. I thought it looked weird. He practically forced me to play the Game Cube version. He helped me get started ( and I still wasn't convinced). Then I started fishing and trying to make bells for my house upgrade. It didn't take long, and I was hooked. Maybe your mom will like it too. It's worth a try.

This is a really sweet idea, go for it. It's not like you're losing anything if you don't use the 2DS anyway, the game will be pretty cheap, and if your mother doesn't like it you can always get her some other games.

my second choice if she doesnt like it is style savvy haha

ooo yes. i have all 3 style savvy games and i definitely recommend

My older sister used to play, up until like 6 years ago. In fact, she was the one who got me into playing AC. But noone else plays itD:.

Nope, my parents both hate playing video games. They've actually always been perfectly supportive of my desire to play them (they don't oppose them or think they're a waste of time or anything), but they both say that it's just too stressful for them.

My husband did play with me for a few months, and he enjoyed the game. He doesn't love it as much as I do, so it's fallen through the cracks for him now that we're really busy. I know my brother- and sister-in-law used to play together for a while as well; not sure if they still do.

UPDATE

I gave my mom the 2DS and the game early! I didn't wanna wait till the price drop on the 26th so I just bought a used one for 22$. Only did have to pay 2$ extra so it wasn't that bad.

She named her town after her favorite band "The Meteorites" but she just put meteora. SHE USED LOWCAPS. Anyways, when she got off the train, she got the new face introduced in NL, the lazyish eyes one. she said it looked like her character was high. Her character was also twinning with Lobo when she got off at the station! When she walked around, i noticed her fruit were cherries. I wish she got a different fruit, since i have cherries too.
She took a little while looking for somewhere to put her house. She eventually put it near the lake or waterfall, i forget. Then she didn't know what to do, so she talked to her villagers, like a lot. She talked to Lobo like 5 times, i could hear haha. I told her to shake some trees and when she did a beehive fell down, so i yell RUN, and so she ran to Daisy's house, but it was locked and she said "what a *****", which i found super ironic since Daisy is a dog. So she got stung, twice actually. Then she commented on how to music is depressing, i told her wait till daytime! She said she'd play again tomorrow maybe so thats something!

I really hope she gets into it more, so she can buy me AC stuff more often :D probably not though haha.

This is really cute, haha! My mom was sort of the same way, except she really loved to fish. She doesn't play it anymore, but when she did she used to write all the fish down and cross them off as she caught them- she'd get so excited it was hilarious.

My brother bugs me all the time to play my New Leaf game, but I never let him. However I did let him have it for awhile, 1-3 months, because he was bugging me so much & I wasn't playing as I am now at the time. Last time I shared the game with him, he put his house right in front of the town hall, so I told him to move it.. then he put it in front of my house.. lol, after that I didn't let him play anymore. He used to sneak onto my character and steal my golden tools and bells, I'd realize some of my items have gone missing a lot of the time.

When I was about 6-8 I played City Folk with my little brother and older sister every day after school- and I'd stay up until about 3 am Wifi-ing with people on there in the summer. I have good memories playing that, lol. I remember begging my parents to buy me a keyboard to hook up to my wii so I could chat easier, but they never did buy me one.

I've always loved animal crossing! I hope your mom loves it too. :)

My brother said today that he wants to start playing new leaf! He's kind of young and reckless though so I don't know if he'd focus on town maintenance or play everyday like I do (which will stress me out). I'm excited to be able to play with someone though; all my friends stopped playing a while ago.

My little cousins play with me as does my nephew. None of my other adult relations play though ;) the only other adults I play with are those who I met on here or a couple of real life friends.
My nephew has a wii u and all sorts, he's only 9 but he's a big gamer. He records his gameplay on animal crossing, just with his voice describing what he's doing. When he's older he wants to put videos like that on YouTube as guides for people. He's a massive ac fan

My cousin used to play with me and my mom has a house on the original game! She used to like to play from time to time. Now, my husband and I play together.

My sister plays it sometimes, there's times where she plays a lot then times she doesn't play at all and says it's stupid (that's what's happening now) and I have a cousin who said he wanted to get it but his parents wouldn't let him because he has "too much" games even though it's like 4-6 games. So, right now I'm the only one. When my sister stopped playing her first town I took over and reset, then one day I got a new town for my birthday and my sister took over then once she stopped playing again and reset, so now I have control over all of the towns and she is not getting hers back, all 3 towns that I have are my original card, my sisters original card, and my 2nd card. All cards have been reset at least twice.

Not that I know of, but I want to get the Gamecube AC game sometime soon and I want to try to convince my Mom to make a character for that town.

I made my mom play Wild World for a few days and all she did was pick up sea shells off the beach and put them all around and in her house.

Also my brother used to play Wild World regularly and New Leaf for a short time.

Haha that's cute! One of my sisters plays AC and I let my 4 year old nephew play with me. My mum got a copy of WW and a secondhand DS and started to play but got so irritated by having to "buy the stairs seperately to get upstairs" that she refused to play.. I have never been able to understand what she meant, and she's quite fuzzy on the details so I've just let it drop lol. I figure if she wants to play she'll bring the game around and make me walk her through it one day.. unless or until then, I'm just going to keep laughing in confusion whenever she complains about the stairs!

I showed my dad animal crossing once, and he asked me how long do I wait until the animals die ~ so i kind of didn't push it onto him xD

My sister plays it and so do my cousins but they tend to not play as often as I do

I just got my brother to start Wild World a few days ago and I told him if he likes it I could get him New Leaf and I think he's enjoying it!
He mostly likes to send villagers he dislikes hate mail and fish :p
