is it acceptable to bump my thread in the TBT marketplace when it goes on the second page?

I'm pretty sure thread bumping is acceptable every three hours, unless it's been changed.

Bumping

There is nothing wrong with bumping a thread that is yours. BUT, if you're bumping it every hour, it can really congest things, and really tends to look like spam. Try and keep it to one thread and bump it maybe once a day at maximum. People will see your thread, I promise! If you find you don't get any kind of response in twenty-four hours, it's perfectly fine to bump your thread, but try not to make multiples for the same sale or request.

yeah I don't think that there is a specific rule about it but I was just looking for a general guideline.

People do this all the time, since most people will tend to only check the first page of threads.


As long as you're not obsessive about it or anything, mods generally don't seem to care. Which waiting until it hits the second page before bumping certainly falls in line to not being obsessive.

This is spot on. We won't do anything unless we start seeing reports about you, in which case you'll probably get a warning if it looks pretty overdone.

I usually say once every two hours or so, but we're really not going to do anything unless we see a report or stumble upon truly obsessed bumping every few minutes.
