Hello and welcome to my island journal!
I will be posting pictures of my island and cute moments with my villagers.
I take a lot of screenshots while I play and I'd like to share them!

A little bit about me | |
Hi, my name is Alicia! I've been playing animal crossing since the GameCube.
I played a lot of new leaf and now a lot of new horizons. Also, I don't time travel.
My favorite villagers are Moe and Tom.
Kabuki and Tangy have quickly become favorites too!

May 30 2020​

Fauna is moving out, so I wanted to share some cute pictures of her while she was on my island!
It was a hard choice to let her move out and I'll miss her. ❤

Tomorrow I will start island hopping to find a villager, not sure who I want on my island, but I'd be happy with Raymond, Kabuki or Punchy.
I want some more cats on my island!

May 31 2020​

Today I island hopped more than I've ever island hopped before.
I had 160 tickets and on my 156 ticket, I found one of the boys I was looking for.

Kabuki was a villager I had for a short time in New Leaf and grew to love. Glad to have him again!

Island hopping is time consuming and it's hard to pass up villagers you like to find another.
There were a few villagers I was sad to pass on, but I knew I wanted to keep going.
I've gotta say, I was so happy when I did see him walking around after looking for him.

Thank you so much! I'm glad it paid off too, I was not expecting to find any of the three cats I wanted when I hit 150 and had only run into four cats along the way.

June 1 2020​

I was so excited for the new month. Wedding season and that I can finally catch some sharks? Yes.
I might have caught all the sharks already, oops?
I finally got my first gold rose! I considered buying some online, but I'm glad I waited!
I also finally caught that Mahi-Mahi! I used up a lot of fish bait trying to find it.

Not really sure WHY I decided to make Kabuki's yard have gnomes in jail.
Maybe they were stealing all the summer shells...

This is my second characters home, it's hidden away on a the little beach.

Also, does anyone else like how the weeds are different in different seasons?​

You can see their fin like in new leaf, but sometimes it blends in with the rest of the shadow and it's hard to see.
The last shark I caught I was only half paying attention and I didn't even know it was a shark, just that it had a big shadow!

I just want to take a second to stop and appreciate these toe beans.
I also really like Kabuki's house, it's simple and cute.

I feel like I keep getting stuck with some spots on my island.
I do love the little path back to Redd that I made a while back. The beach he showed up on was fully showing before I made that.
I changed up the spot on the left because I feel like I've only been using orange and blue flowers for the bulk of my decorating.
I wanted to switch it up a little and I think it looks cute with the pink hyacinths and roses.

I want to try to use more variety in hyacinths and maybe add more cosmos.
I'm hoping to figure out a bit more what to do with some of the open spaces around my island. ​

June 4 2020​

Got busy trying to figure out how to decorate a spot at the entrance of my island.
I wasn't sure what to post yesterday when Kabuki said this to me.

I was wondering the same thing. Honestly really loving having Kabuki again so far.

Had a chat with Moe earlier today, I post about him a lot, but he's really cute.

I've been trying to make this part of my island into something I like.
It started like the top left photo and these are different things I've tried.

I'm just slowly trying to figure out how to this area in with the area next to it so that it flows when you enter my island.
Looking at all these pictures next to each other, I may like the fountain the best... So this is what it looks like now!

Still might change up the flowers a bit, not sure yet!

I really love that my villagers are eating popsicles now that it's June.

I'm slowly decorating my island, sometimes it's nice to just hang out with my villagers!​

I hadn't seen much of Kabuki before checking your journal, but he has a really cool look/theme! I'm glad I got the chance to see him.

I absolutely love your resident services area in the post above this comment. I hadn't seen those stone lanterns at night before, they're so pretty lit up.

I had no idea that the atlas moth and birdwing butterfly models were so massive. Now I want to get one of each.

Thank you so much! I left the area empty for so long and I wasn't sure what to do with it until I started to mess around with it yesterday.
I agree, the stone lanterns are really pretty when they are lit up!

I know those models are huge! I really want to use them, but then I can't figure out how to make them work.
Hopefully I can make an area with these larger models and make them flow well with some smaller ones.

Updating my map because it's changed a little!

The part under all my villagers houses is an orchard, but sometimes I consider getting rid of it.
My villagers like to sit in there and it's hard to find them sometimes.

Hung out with Kabuki while he sang. I really love when my villagers sing! It's so cute.
Also, wanted to include this first picture, sometimes he gives me this side eye look.

Finally got the last lucky cat for my neighborhood area!

I didn't really work much on my island today as I was island hopping for my boyfriend. He has Ketchup moving in tomorrow now!
I'm going to try to decorate some more tomorrow, including redoing the yards in my neighborhood.​

So, today is Peanut's birthday!

Last night Moe asked me if I wanted to do a treasure hunt and honestly he's the sweetest.
This is the first time one of my villagers asked to play a game with me.

Okay so, Tom is so cute. I love when he uses his magnifying glass.

Finally decorated the yards of Moe, Tom and Kabuki.

Checked my mailbox today to find out Peanut sent me her photo after her birthday!

Honestly, I'm just trying to get most of the photos from my villagers before I let them move out.
Moe, Tom and Kabuki are going to be long term residents, but the rest I want to let move out.
I love Peanut though, she's such a sweetheart. I did not expect to get her photo in the mail!
