Acorns and Pinecones

Am I the only one who's had trouble finding Pinecones and acorns? Autumn is almost over and I've only been able to fine 4 pinecones and 2 Acorns.

oh my, that is very lack luster in comparison to my haul of pinecones and acorns thus far.

have you been actively searching for them? and by searching, i mean specifically only shaking your non-fruit trees to try and get them? :c

i had trouble in the beginning but not any more. i got at least one acorn/pine cone from every hardwood/pine tree in my island the other day. it was a massive pain, but if you shake each tree enough times you'll get one eventually. you'll get a lot of tree branches too, but you can just sell those.

yeah you have to shake a lot and I mean like multiple times once you see one dropping keep shaking many times. Its a bit bothersome and very tiresome, but eventually you get your materials

I found that the most efficient way of collecting these materials is to do it in pairs - one person shakes the tree, the other picks up whatever drops. I did this with my S/O yesterday, and we managed to get two stacks of pine cones (60 of them) within an hour.

Oh my gosh thank you so much I didn’t realize we could shake trees more than once for materials! I’d shake them all once and that was it so I’ve gotten like ... 9 acorns total since they started dropping. I’ve just gone and shaken a couple of trees multiple times and I’ve gotten an acorn from nearly every one after getting a dozen branches!!

Glad i could help and make your search a bit less tedious .You do get tons of branches though, thats the reason i said it could be extremely tiresome, but from my experience what i do is i shake a tree or cedar and if i get a pinecone or an acorn i will do multiple shakes and i believe you get various items in the floor then i pick them all up and i shake it again until the entire perimeter of the trees is covered in materials and no more fit around it and i do with several trees

You basically need just one cedar tree and one hardwood tree for pinecones and acorns, just make sure there is clear space of 3x3 with the tree at a corner. You need to spam the A button when standing next to the tree. Once the tree drop 8 items, pick them up and shake again. I also put a garbage can nearby to dump the excessive branches. It is very tedious though.
