So we've seen the initial gameplay after just starting out! Now I'm wondering what comes next?

Place your speculations about how the game will shape up once you've been playing for a while here!

One thing I'm really wondering about is villagers and there moving mechanics. It appears that they too start in tents when they move into the island.

I'm wondering how deep this goes. If we don't build them a house, do they move out? Can they still move out if we build their houses? Do we have the power to reject villagers altogether, or do we need to build them a house for them to move out. This is assuming we help with building their houses, of course.

This game feels very player-controlled, but I hope villager move-ins are still random. It's always fun to have that one villager you're rivals with or bond with unpopular villagers you would never seek out.

I have an idea about that:
They could randomly place a tent down and say they're just visiting, like the campsite in nl. Then you could persuade them to stay and help them choose where to place their house. That way you still get the random element, but also have control over whether or not they stay and where they choose to stay.

I'm also wondering if the villager limit is upped or not? After all, we can have 8 players on the island now.

Apparently one of the developers said they want people to play this for years, if not decades if I can recall correctly. I hope this game goes deep with the building and upgrading. I want a venue for every NPC shopkeeper, upgrading the shops, museum, amenities you can build, etc. I'd love it if you can build supplies for festivals and holidays and the more you make the bigger and better the celebration will be. I WANT this game to keep me held over until the next installment, I WANT to be playing New Horizons for years and still wonder if I'll ever see everything there is to see.

I agree! I'm on a day dream here but I would love if we could have more than one property. It would be great to have a game we can build on and on for years, more so than new leaf!
