I am shortly going to be resetting my town as soon as I find people to hold my dreamies for me. Any advice about resetting and getting a good town? What to do with items? Etc..
Anything helpful would be very much appreciated!

Think about a theme, and choose a map and dreamies that fit.
For me, I need a map with one of the corner rivers... This is helpful for me, as I need it for the story, but it's also nice if you want a private house :3

Maybe ask if the people who hold your dreamies would also hold your items so they're in one place? And make sure you have absolutely everything you need from your town before you reset.

Also, I recommend that once you decide on a map, you spend a day or two just running around making sure you actually like it, rather than transferring your stuff back all at once.

yes i agree, run along your map and think of pathways you would like (you don't need to put paths down but just run along imaginary paths) and invision what you would want your map to look like.

resetting is a lot of fun. i did it a few months ago and i don't regret it at all because i love my new town map. i agree with the others though, look for a town you can place paths and stuff, also look for pond placement and where you could place some pwp's and where you'd be able to plot-reset your villagers houses (if you wanted to). here's another tip that could help, don't pick a town map that you "like" because later on in the game you could have all your dreamies and stuff, but end up hating the town map you chose. pick a town map that you love and won't get tired of. c:
