I've had a villager on my island that I'd like to have move out for several months now, and nothing that I try is getting her to leave! I've read every article I can find on the subject but nothing seems to work. I have dream villagers that I want to try and find!
The worst part is I feel awful about how mean I'm being to try get her out of here lmao. I'm actually considering buying amiibo cards just to force it.
I don't want to time travel to skip ahead, so that's not an option.
I talked to her when she first showed up, then ignored her for at least a month straight. Took the decorations out of her yard and replaced them with weeds and trash. Talked to all my other villagers and gave them gifts like normal. This has worked for every other villager in the past, almost like clockwork. BUT, 4 or 5 times the game chose to ask someone else to leave.
I read that the game weighs the decision on the friendship levels of the individual residents. So I started being mean ):
Pushing her around until she yelled at me, pushing her into pitfalls, talking to her until she was mad at me, giving her garbage repeatedly. And I make sure to start each day with 9 gifts, running around and gifting every single other villager, saying yes to all their requests etc. And STILL the game is asking my favorites to leave. I'm not hassling my favs, not talking to them too much, just chatting and gifting once and letting them go on their way.
Another 4 or 5 times, the game has asked someone else now. I've been quitting out of the conversations without saving and reloading to find the next person who asks, and it's never her. AAAAAAHHHHHHHH.
It's really starting to frustrate me and it just makes me sad bc I don't want to be mean to her lol, I just want to get on with villager hunting
Is there anything at all I'm missing? Anything else I should try? Amiibo cards are honestly a possibility, because at least then I could choose who to move out...
