After a month, I have a lot to be thankful when it comes to this games' community

First of all (and I should have said it earlier lol), I apologise for any errors as English is I my first language and I'm always using "in", "on" and "at" wrong haha.

Well, after thinking about my experiences since March 21st (when I got the game), and seeing all the hate-spewing threads being posted from left to right, I thought I should share something with you.

This game has been as close as a blessing as someone can be.

It all started with how I got the game: one year ago, I was hoping the "next AC" like crazy in my group of friends. Most of them never played any title in the series. I was saving money to get the game in September, and it got delayed. I had to use that money and when March was approaching, I would have the money to buy the game. For my surprise, my friends (the same ones I convinced to get AC because it's a great game) knew I wouldn't be able to buy NH and then they bought me a digital copy, saying it wouldn't be fair if I couldn't play the game I was hoping for so long, and they wanted to play with me.

Right there, I was in tears because that sort of thing never happened to me. And it reminded me of many cool and heartwarming stories I've been reading about AC for years.

I reactivated my account here on TBT (made in 2017 when I was playing NL, but I wasn't active here). And since then, I've been trying to be a helpful member of the community, trying to give it something back. NL saved me from one of my darkest moments, and NH is helping countless people with the current pandemic.

Here I found some amazing people that, if wasn't for NH, I would never meet. I don't know if these people would be comfortable if I name dropped them, so I'll say, you know who you are, and I'm thankful for being able to share the experience with you.

Everyone of us has a style of gameplay, different kinds of ways to enjoy the game, different levels of knowledge, different backgrounds... But AC is the thing that binds us all. And I hope that the experience I had this past month can last for many months and years.

Hope you guys are enjoying the game and the community as much is I have, and if it's in your best interest, please, try to be a helpful member of the community. AC has probably the best fanbase I ever had the pleasure to be a part of, and I hope it stays that way.

Thank you for sharing, Raz. Some of the stories you have shared with me are very emotional, and heartwarming. I am glad to have met you on this forum and can say we are true friends outside the game.

I still remember the thread that brought us together. LOL ;)

You're an amazing member and friend! Always giving and so thoughtful everytime I go to your island! I love crafting stuff for you and scouting out things that you would like. It was fun visiting our NL islands too! Honestly, ACNH would not be the same without you!

Also, very true, if it wasn't for this game we would have never met! So, I agree, let's enjoy the community and continue to help one another because you could totally miss an opportunity to make a new friend or help someone out that might be going through a tough time.

Just wanted to stop by and say that I love your post! It's so nice to see happy news these days. I only started here a few weeks ago but I agree that the community is really sweet! I was able to trade for all my dreamies, and I still get new DIYs almost every day thanks to the kind members.

Aí sim!

We have a nice community here on TBT. Some users I have interacted with, like Solace, are very kind and generous people and they're always willing to help. Also, there's a thread about Free Trading that you might want to check out, courtesy of @Mairen.

Aw, that such a sweet story! 🥰 I remember playing Animal Crossing in school with classmates and despite not being close with them helping them out in-game and trading stuff. The community aspect of the game can really bring the best out of people, it's a sweet place to connect.

It definitely is. One of the stories I loved about AC was also a sad one. It was about a kid who played the original AC with his mother. And she had written tons of letter to him, with lots of different messages.

His mom died some years later, and the day after she passed away, he was cleaning his house and found the GameCube. He turned it on to play AC because it was a memory of his mother and o all the time they spent together when he was a kid. He then saw that there were a lots of letter written by her and he cried a lot. He kept taking care of that town for some time, as uf he was still playing with her.

When I saw that I was like "I've been playing videogames since 89 and I never saw a game connect someone to their parents like this"
