I know that sometimes people do that because they still need them and are hoping you will share back. At least ive come across that on the Reddit forum. Either way, itd probably be nice to communicate that first.

I checked after and they didn't need them. Not to mention it was the second time they did it. I wish you could communicate or send little pre-set messages in game telling people not to do that but, oh well. I'm trying to complete this set because it's actually cool and Pocket Camp very rarely does cool events it's mostly cute stuff.

Unless you know the person IRL or they literally don't need anything, it's often considered disrespectful to fill someone's garden with items they don't need. It prevents others from sharing things that could actually be used. Many people will delete and/or block people who do this.

In the past, it was understandable because there was no indicator. They added the indicator specifically to prevent this behavior.

So yeah, as a general rule of respect, unless you see all that all of the items are greyed out, ONLY give bats that says "Wants this!" Better to not give anything than give something they don't need.
