Always the same fruit and flowers

I’m sorry if this has already been asked, but I haven’t seen it be posted yet. I’ve tried googling it first too. I’ve spent probably over 20,000 nookmiles to go on a mystery tour to get any other fruit and flowers other than my native peaches and mums. Plus lilies and cosmos from the store and I got some oranges from a letter too.

Each time I go to another island, it’s always the same - peaches and lilies! It’s driving me mad. Is anyone else experiencing this? And more importantly, is there a way to change this so I get something different? I tried resetting when I see peaches and lilies, but it auto saved and it took my ticket without me getting anything from the island. I’d prefer to get the fruit and flowers naturally - I’ve never traded before and my anxiety makes me not want to. Please help!

You're pretty likely to encounter your own fruit and native flower, they really wanted to promote visiting other islands as each island's Nook's Cranny has specific flower seeds.

It's unfortunately completely RNG; you're just having awful luck.

I run into islands with oranges maybe once in every 10 trips (my native fruit is Apples) but that's the only non-native fruit I can find. It seems like Nintendo is really trying to promote trading/visiting other player's islands a lot more in this game as everyone has different flowers in their shops, different color lighthouses/snack machines, etc. If you want to get everything you need to trade for it.

I have oranges, but I can only find oranges and cherries as well as pansies (my native) and tulips. Have yet to see any other flower.

My island trips have been absolute garbage. The only good trip I've had was when I caught 5 Coelacanth, but that was only because it was raining. Otherwise, yeah, not good.

i’m having the same issue, unfortunately; every island i’ve been to has peaches and either tulips or hyacinths- it sucks lol

I've been on 20+ mystery island tours and I have only seen pears (native), cherries, mums (native), and pansies. No other fruits or flowers. I feel like we're secretly assigned a secondary fruit and flower, so we probably wouldn't see anything else. Because of this, I've taken a different approach to these tours. Since they always have 3-4 rocks and high rates of fish spawns, I just go for the iron nuggets and fishing, regardless of the island layout. I've caught every March fish without bait on these tours.

It's frustrating that we can't use these islands to find new flowers and fruit. Hopefully they patch it or something in the future.

completely agree with u!! i was expecting the tours to be more fruitful (ahaha), but since there's nothing interesting coming from them i just go to them for wood and rocks. i have yet to try to make my own tarantula spawning island, so i may try doing that instead of my lil bug farm on my island. i guess i need to stock up on native and secondary fruits & flowers to trade.

Basically this. I reset my first island after being unhappy with the map after trying it the first few days and I've noticed the pattern is the same. We get our native fruit and flower and it seems like we're randomly paired with a non-native fruit and flower. I'm pretty sure Nook gives us seeds that of our non-native flower. Nook's cranny also seems to only sell three flower types: native, the non-native paired, and a third which might just be random (I'm not sure if they sell more after getting upgraded, I'm nowhere near that point). But as for the islands, I only ever see the native fruit and flower or the same non-native fruit and flower. Nothing else.

Ive gone on over 20 tours, have lost count. Most of them have been my native fruit and flower. A few times they've given me tulips instead of my native mums, but haven't seen any other flowers on tour. I've also had two islands with peaches instead of my native apples. Oh and I've had bamboo twice. The rest have all been busts.
