Am I Doing Something Wrong?

Help! As a piano enthusiast, I was very excited to see the customized pianos in the Japanese trailers for ACNH. However, I purchased an upright piano from the Nooklings shop (the same piano from the trailers) and tried to customize it with the custom kits, but alas it could not be done...am I doing something wrong?

I believe you can only customize things you make yourself. Anything you buy is stuck as-is, I'm afraid

There are different variations of the items, and cannot be customized. You will have to trade with other people online or wait to find the one you want at the store/given by a villager.

Ah I had a feeling that may be the case TvT Oh well. At least now I can have a nice collection~
