I hope no one minds me asking what I'm sure is a very basic question here. I had seen in a couple news articles a few months ago that Nintendo is going to rerelease amiibo cards for these games. When I recently tried to google some further info on this, all I'm getting is people selling the fake cards, or overpriced real cards. I just want to know when they are going to be released, and in what capacity? Are they going to be broadly available in most retail shops, or will this be a limited release at only a certain location for a limited time? Any info you can share here would be really appreciated. Thank you so much!

From Canada here and the rerelease has already begun. They’ve gone up on a couple different retailers online only (as I’m aware). Unfortunately they’ve been selling out extremely fast (like in a matter of minutes), so if you are able find stock for your country be sure to order them ASAP.

The Welcome Amiibo are supposedly available to pre order now but i have not come across any site offering that :/. they will be released on 12/2. If anyone comes across a site in the us that is accepting pre orders now, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know. I need about over a dozen WAs and am having no luck in the amiibo trading thread :/.

I heard the amiibo card restocks can be pre-ordered at GameStop. Series 1 through 5 will be available and I'm not sure if this is just a limited thing but I feel they'll sell out pretty fast so preordering them is probably a good idea.

Checked today and all of the other series are out of stock at my gamestops and no welcome amiibos anywhere to pre-order.

Definitely keep checking. And someone mentioned Amazon was selling them too. I think Gamestop was selling some in their physical stores, you might want to check with your local Gamestop if you have one near you.

Just wanted to mention that stores seem to be continually restocking - GameStop had series 1-4 for sale online as of this morning (11/13). Target may be the same.
As for Amazon, so far I have only seen them being sold by 3rd party sellers for huge markups. If the packs cost more than $6 you should not buy them - they are not coming from an official distributor.

One encouraging thing for people still struggling to find amiibo card packs: back in may or so when the cards were being restocked in japan Nintendo said they would be continually restocking ‘to demand’ so I don’t think these are going to be short runs of the cards and they should continue to be restocked. Hopefully also including the welcome amiibo series.
