I do love the Amiibo cards but in the Uk they are quite expensive for how many you get,
So I have decided to hold off on buying them till the hype is over.

I know you can get all villagers in the game without using the amiibo cards but the villagers such as Tom nook, Pascal, isabelle, etc.. Can i only design their rooms by getting their cards?

Taken from the description on the Nintendo UK Store:

Series 1 Animal Crossing amiibo cards Pack contains three Animal Crossing amiibo cards. Out of these three, one card will always be a special amiibo card. In Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer this means it features a character whose house you won’t be able to build without using its amiibo card. Each card can be used across multiple copies of the game, so they’re perfect for collecting and trading with friends.

So yes, you can only decorate the NPC villagers houses with the cards.

I am not sure about the answer, but I think you can just obtain them by their amiibo cards and later with their amiibos too!

You could check ebay or similar, there are some collections and I'm sure there is an "special amiibo cards"-collection

Thanks for the replys, looks like i will just be buying the Special cards on ebay :)

I want to add, that you will may be dissapointed with the special cards ingame unlocks ... some just give rain coats, songs or other clothing ... and not much :/

That doesnt bother me, i have found most villagers dont unlock many items. Mostly would like to be able to decorate their rooms :)

What prices are you seeing in UK currently? I'm curious how much Grainger Games decided to sell them for...I went in on Saturday and they didn't know because their head office was closed on weekend so they didn't sell them.

Game as usual seems to be fleecing it, ?4.99 a pack. Smyth's Toys also about that. Cheapest I've found is ?3.49 in Argos, which is where I've been getting mine currently! ;o
