Amiibo cards

Now, I have six amiibo cards currently of some characters to come to the campground and sell extra items which is cool and all - but it is my understanding that there are cards of characters that I could scan to have new townspeople?
Would they be a different generation of amiibo cards or do I just keep buying the same looking package that is apparently third generation?
The amiibo ability is actually quite neat as a side note- I just wish to get the most out of their experiences.

You can scan all AC Amiibo cards except the special characters and ask them to move in. If you want to visit RV Amiibo Villagers (brand new villagers) you'll need the newest series of cards to do so!

There were 4 previous series designed for HHD now compatible with New Leaf after the update, and the series number is in the top left corner for those cards' packaging. For series 1-4 cards, villagers can be scanned in, but they have no items or rv's. You can just ask them to move in or ask for their picture or whatever.

Series 5 has an orange package and it says Welcome amiibo. It is a series of 50 returning villagers from the early games. They are the ones that have rv's that give you items when scanned in and told to "come and play". When you talk to the villager in the rv, you can ask them to move in. So check for numbers in the corner for the first 4 series. Look for the words Welcome Amiibo in the title for the new series. The cards for the new Welcome Amiibo Series are a bit harder to find now though but good luck!
