So, I unlocked amiibo.

From what I read, it goes as follows...
You invite the villager 3 times (3 days), craft the item they request each day, and the third time they'll finally agree to move in.

So, my question is, if on the third day all 10 plots are filled with villagers, will they move in or no? Back in new leaf, scanning them in would just boot out whomever you selected. Is it the same on the third day in NH or no?

Thank you.

Someone can confirm this ? I have read that you can only invite via amiibo if you don't have 10 villagers already

I can confirm this. I was time traveling specifically to get a certain amiibo villager. I had to craft for him 3 times, and on the 3rd day he agreed to move in. I guess it's to prevent people from immediately loading up their entire town with amiibos.

I don't have 10 villagers yet, but I will soon. If I can confirm being able to boot out a villager at 10 then I'll post here again.

Edit: You can kick out villagers using amiibo cards. Spoiler warning, obviously.

So I chose to move in Daisy, same drill. Invited her 3 days in a row, crafting 1 item for her each day. On the 3rd day after you've crafted her item, you can get her to move in. She will then tell you your town is full, but she can try to talk to a chosen villager to see if they want to move. I'm not sure if the chosen villager can refuse to move, but yeah. There's the confirmation that you can kick villagers out once you've hit the max.

Hope this helps those who were curious about it!
