amiibo villager won't visit my campsite

I got my Skye amiibo card today and I tried scanning her in but i kept getting messages thats shes too busy moving and isn't available? i thought they would immediately come in after scanning, how do I get her to visit? I have 10 villagers btw

It says she's too busy moving? That's kinda odd.

Is there already a camper on your island right now? If the campsite has someone I'm not sure if the amiibo will work.

yeah that's definitely not right- the only time i think it would say she's too busy moving is if she were already in your town, in boxesl either moving in or out
right now, the villagers-moving-in mechanic is p unstable (lots of glitches!) so i'd recommend for everyone to just sit tight w the villagers they have and don't let any move out/in + don't put down plots. just until nintendo fixes these glitches ;;

the only thing i can think of is my glitched whitney. A few days ago I found whitney at my camp so i kicked out kyle to move her in but she moved in with kyles exterior... idk if that contributes to the problem

ah, i did buy it from someone online and i bought it before new horizons came out but idk everyone else who bought from this person said that their amiibos were working fine

I'm not sure if it matters if the card is used or not, but it could be a possibility.

There are a ton of glitches in this game when it comes to amiibo and villagers moving in/out with the amiibo cards, so it won't surprise me if this is another bug as well. Unfortunately my only recommendation is to wait for the bugs to be fixed and scan her in then. :c

The card being used has 0 effect. The fact that it reads as the right character shows it should be reading fine. It has to be some other issue.

im wondering if kicking out whitney would fix the glitch but i dont wanna test it and have it not fix the error as i like having whitney on my island even if her house isnt correct
