An all round noob.

Howdy folks,

I was checking out these forums as I normally play my games on PC, therefore have no Nintendo Switch buddies - and haven't managed to convince my girlfriend to start playing yet.
I only have 4 neighbors/villagers/islanders so far but my favorite ones are Audie & Agnes. I'm 30 years young, live in the UK and do not time travel so as to enjoy the natural pace of the game.
I'm here for some inspiration for my island and hopefully gain some tips and info to enjoy the game more.

Also curious about trading, visiting and having visitors... how do you all manage the risk of letting random internet folks into your private island sanctuary?

Welcome! Audie sure is great, isn't she? I've never felt a bond with any of the wolves before, but her being peppy really helps, haha. I love peppy villagers. No time travel on my end either. It's less stressful that way imo.

Nice idea! I think I messed up and put some houses too close to the airport so people could have "beach views" but I think shifting things around for a visitor air-lock could be the way forward.

The game allows you to move the houses later, if you weren't aware. Still, that does sound like a neat idea too.
