An idea about the other human characters

As you all know, you can have 4 human characters and whenever you play with
one of them, the other three characters however "disappear" in this time. At least
you don't see them in their houses or somewhere else in the town.

What if in the new game, the other characters you don't use at that time appear this
time as sort of NPCs, kinda like how characters from other players appear in the HHS
or in dream towns in New Leaf. For example: If you play as your mayor (I just assume
we are going to be the mayor again) and visit the houses of your other human characters,
they are actually in there. They would act like your animal villagers and would also be sort
of NPCs. If you talk with them, they either get a little dialogue set from the game (something
like "Hi, nice to see you here!" etc.) or just repeat the text from their Town Pass Card (just
like their do at the HHS/dream towns). However, if you play as one of the non-mayor
characters and then want to visit your mayor character, you will find him/her either in his/
her house or now alternative in the town hall, sitting at that spot where you usually sit when
you want to do something with PWPs or ordinances.

So what do you think? I mean, if you can have other human characters and their also count as
villagers, then why not having them also all the time in your town?

I would like this! As long as they don't actually have any gifts or requests or anything to give you. I'd like it to just be exactly how it is in dream towns. Reason being that I don't really want to have other human characters in my town and wouldn't wanna miss out on having an extra 'villager' because of it, and I don't think it makes too much sense for the human characters to do too much autonomously when they're really supposed to be representative of other people in your household/your close friends playing the same town. But I do agree that it doesn't make much sense that they disappear - at least in WW/CF they would appear asleep in their beds haha.

I love that idea, I often think its weird that they just disappear it would be cool if they wondered around the town or you could see them chilling in their house

I dont remember when this was, but in one of the older ac games where u would choose wc chara to play from a bunch of sleeping beds of ur characters. if u plyed and entered ur house and went upstairs to that sleeping quarters floor, ud see the rest of the villagers sleeping.

honestly, id personally rather not have my other villagers walk arnd cause the town is fairly small n having so many characters might feel congested;, instead id love if they would just b in their house/sleeping on a bed item/on the floor or smthing if ever?

I think it makes sense that they disappear. Kind of like you're going from the human world and visiting your town and when you're not playing you go back to real life.
I wouldn't want them to be there as NPCs because they wouldn't have the same personality etc.
Also if for example another player didn't play for some months it wouldn't make sense for the character to still be there, since when they play again the animals would mention how they've been gone for a while.

I remember in WW when you could find them sleeping in the beds upstairs. I always liked that. I would love if you could find them in their own houses.

I can see this being fun/useful for some, but I wouldn't really need it.
I use those characters for storage, so they're not really interesting.

I like that idea. I would think that they could give the human villagers unique lines, compared to the animal villagers, though. And maybe at the beginning of the game, we can set a personality for our villagers (Lazy, smug, Normal, Snooty, etc), which will affect what kind of stuff we, as NPCs, talk about. The personality could be changed by meeting with Shrunk, too.

I think behavior of human villagers should probably be set to a minimum. They are avatars of the player after all, so it could be a little weird to see them act with their own "free will". I think giving them dialogue is a particularly bad idea.

If they did add a feature like this, I hope it is optional. I understand some people may really like it, but I want the ability to turn it off.
