So basically one night a few years ago I dreamed this:
I was going to a relative's house to visit and when I got there someone who had died recently was there, chilling on the couch totally fine. I was of course freaking out a bit and asking everyone how it was possible, and they all thought I was crazy. But there were other strange things too, one relative wasn't married yet and his son hadn't been born.

I realized that somehow I must have gone back in time about 3 years. I quickly seized the moment and thought: this is great! I wanted to convince certain people not to do something that would actually turn out to be a big mistake. But only one problem: How to prove it to them? How could I possibly convince these people that I had traveled back in time when I hadn't planned anything?
I thought about showing them my drivers licence and pictures from my phone, but I didn't have much else I could think of.

So I pose the same question to you people: If you suddenly found yourself back in time(doesn't matter how long) how would you try to convince someone you were from the future when you didn't have a chance to plan for it?

Drivers License, my phone in general depending on how far back I was, and predicting a major event that would happen in the very near future. That's all I can think of.

I probably wouldn't intervene, actually. I believe very much in the butterfly effect. Small things in life can cause big consequences, good or bad. I'm not sure how comfortable I'd feel changing time like that. It's a paradox, of course, but there are subtle things you could change that could cause death.

If I absolutely had to, though, I would just let them know. If they brushed it off, it's their own doing, but I would try my hardest to convince them I wasn't lying. If it was something small they had to do different, I'm sure they'd avoid it.

It depends on how much I can remember. My dad's a big football fan so I could tell him the winner of the superbowl, I could show them my license, just the little things, really...

As someone who rarely has their wallet or phone on them and pretty much is in the dark on current events, I would have to get plenty creative.

If I had a chance to go back in time I would! Than I'd stand up to that psychotic hateful person and not let them get away with all the horrible things she has done in the past 8 years, her and her horrible daughter would have gotten stopped if I had known who they really were this whole time.

ok, but how would you convince that person you were from the future if you didn't have a chance to plan for it?

I would not bother to convince them. I would try and figure out what day, year, and month I'm in and since I'm from the future I would know what I'm up against now that I know the truth and secrets. What happen to me has made me stronger and I wouldn't be scared of their reactions anymore. I would however, try to warn my loved ones of the truth and stuff,
