There is the duplication process, but good luck finding someone that will let you use their town.

You could always use the bank and Time-Travel but it can have some bad side effects so I wouldn't recommend it the best [and easiest] way is to sell fruit, foreign fruit, shells, fish and bugs x

The quickest way that I know of to get rich is fishing on rainy Summer nights or bug catching on summer nights. I know that there are several videos of glitches/cheats that you can watch.

There are no official cheat codes like GTAIV for example, however there's a lot if you have homebrew and know what you're doing and what not.

I sometimes use the time travel method but it creates quite a lot more weeds.
Another process to get rich is to make your time Christmas Eve and make it night so Jingle comes and if you find him he gives you furniture which sells for 12,000 each.
