Animal Crossing: Switch -- Player's Home.

Was just a random thought, but a new game means new home loans that need to be paid and that got me thinking. What 'new' upgrades would you like to see in the new game?

Personally, I'd love if the player's home was larger, same for the villagers. I'd love to see a fenced yard with special garden/flower pots we can plant flowers outside in, or a porch upgrade where you can put certain outdoorsy furniture on.

Adding on doors, it would be nice if the locations of the doorways could be moved anywhere along that side of the house from their default spaces too. So you could have the entrance/exit to your top side room all the way to the top left instead of the top center. It'd help make your main room a bit more flexible since you don't really have many options once there's the four doorways in the center of every side.

I want to have more rooms on the second floor (I was surprised in NL when i finished the second floor that it only had one room and not 3 side rooms like the first floor) and an attic would be nice as well

Definitely a yard! I'd love to add flowers and other plants or produce to my garden. We could even use it to grow produce we can sell to earn in game bells?

I'd also love to be able to change where doors & windows sit, like Justin suggested. It would give us a lot more freedom in terms of room design interior design

Finally I think it'd be great to be able to change the size of the pattern of the rug, because now when you have the biggest size room the pattern is stretched out and doesn't look good anymore (like some of the wood floors & carpet). They should definitely change that! And now that I think of it.. it would be great to be able to add smaller carpets to any room, like in PocketCamp, so you can have a hardwood floor with a few carpets in particular spots.

I would love a yard with a fence for yourself and the villagers.
And I'd also like the return of the statue from GameCube. This time it would be harder to make because of better clothing and hair options but maybe a statue with a bell bag or a happy Tom Nook.

single one. They could add the option to decide in which floor you want more rooms. Would
be really helpful to design the own house better. Also like a mentioned in a other thread I
would like it to have a yard and the option to design outdoor more around the own house

Please, Nintendo, let us have different shaped rooms! After all, in real live, rooms also comes
with different shapes, so make that happen!

Different types of window with curtains or blinds would be nice. I would love to have a bay window seating area with cushions.
Built in storage cabinets on the walls would be nice. ACNL doesn't have enough room on the tables to place items and villagers pictures. Placing the villagers pictures on the cabinet or walls would be nice.
Yes to doors that could slide open and a big yard to decorate. I want a front porch with the wooden swing.
For the upstairs it would be nice to have a master bedroom with a bathroom and closet to store clothing.

Going with what some previous people said, a bigger house would be great maybe even dedicated rooms for certain functions like in actual houses (Bathrooms, Kitchen, Dining Room, etc.). An attic or Yard would be cool to see, and maybe even give all the villagers yards instead of just the player

I second this. Doors would make it very more home-like feeling for the house. Maybe even give us an option to choose what kind of door we like? Like perhaps the color? I also liked the ceiling furniture too. If I had a bedroom, I would definitely put a fan on the ceiling.

i'm going to be controversial here...I'd like to be able to downgrade my house anytime I want. Sometimes small rooms are really cute and there's no way to get them back once you upgrade

- First floor to have 5 rooms (one 12x8 main room, and four 8x8 rooms)
- Second floor to have 5 rooms too
- Customizable doors, windows, and curtains
- Outdoor plot

A front or back yard (or both!) would be really nice. It would also be interesting if you could choose different regions for your house to be located in like in HHD! So you could live in a desert, or in a forest, or in a snowy mountainous area. Of course for this to work properly, they would have make your town have different biomes.

Basically everythin HHD has, plus more.
•Doors
•Windows with curtains, or a no windows option. That would be really cool for some horror towns.
•A patio in the front
•A yard in the back
•More rooms on each floor
•More rooms in general
•More customability with exteriors, more options for shapes, sizes, roofs, colours ect...
•Don't let the exterior of the house define how the interior is. I want to be able to have a smaller looking house on the outside but larger rooms inside.
•More basement rooms
•Actual hallways leading to rooms
•Rooms not always being 4x4, or 6x6. Rooms that are 8x6 or 4x8 would be cool.
•Please, allow us to have accent walls. I only want to add a design or wallpaper to a few walls, not all of them.
