Anyone else looking forward to the possibility of NO animal tracks anymore??? It’s what I really hated about Let’s go to the City/City Folk. Got better in New Leaf but I’m hoping if it does exist, then they’ve massively improved grass regeneration! And again hoping pattern usage is more intuitive in this game too.

i think it will likely be completely wiped, given the new manual pathing ability.

hmm, what's wrong with animal tracks? i don't think i've really seen them, i don't pay attention lmao

I’m really hoping that’s the case. I just hated all the mess and it just looked awful in winter ><

So you know when you run around and the grass just like vanishes and dies? And the you’re left with a big muddy mess of a town? Those are animal tracks. Your villagers will add to the grass depletion too. That’s why it wasn’t a good idea to run around if you wanted a beautiful town. In Let’s go to the city, the grass never came back :(

I think she's/he's referring to the grass wearing out, and turning into dirt. Not actual animal paw tracks haha

I like the prints they make when they walk, but not grass wear.

Is grass wear gone?

Hmmmm, grass wear. The most annoying part of CF and I hope it's been done away with.

It was like having a desert for a town! I'm surprised Saharah didn't try to move in ٩꒰ʘʚʘ๑꒱۶

I hope that we can still form natural rustic pathways for players who enjoy to build natural towns! But as long as grass wear doesn't happen, I'm happy! Don't want to live in the wastelands again (๑꒪ㅁ꒪๑)

I spent so much time making paths with patterns to prevent desertification.... Being able to place paths as a part of the actual game will be so much nicer and less time consuming!

Haha!! Yeah it’s awful when It gets to the point of no return!!!

Think there might be more tools for it? But it’s looking fresh from what I can see.

XD I totally feel your pain!!! Very rewarding but very time consuming. Here’s to hoping it’ll be all that more easier and more time spent exploring rather than designing!!

from the trailer and pictures there?s no grass wear at all!! Like no patches. 😃

Yeah, I think the creativity level is gonna be through the roof. AC doesn't need dumb mechanics like that anymore because I think they realize that people want full creativity and they can make it difficult or complex in other ways. I think this complexity will be in the resources and crafting mechanic, that will probably be what limits people to doing things as well as this eating fruit mechanic too to do things. Which honestly is a much better way to regulate progression rather than scolding you for running around too much

I actually liked grass wear. It was a bit fun for me in new leaf...

I liked the look of the natural paths in NL. That's all I ever had, but the bald patches everywhere kinda sucked. Plus the snow ruined them.
