Here we go again!
I started playing rather late today, as I had some things to take care of this morning. As I exited my house today, Pete was there, saying I had a letter from Nintendo. Apparently, there's a new DLC item available at Nintendo Zone locations, but since I live nowhere near a Nintendo Zone, I will probably go without it unless I can find it on TBT or something. I checked my mail, and realized I hadn't opened some mail from the other day. It was a good thing I did: Mira had sent me a gift in one letter, which turned out to be her pic! I made sure to file it away and put it...somewhere. Not saying where until after April Fools' Day...
I saw Walker walking around. He asked if I wanted to come visit his house, and I agreed. I groaned when he wanted to set up a time, but since it wasn't that far off (3:30), I agreed. I then set off to water my flowers and dig up my fossils (and gyroids, since it rained the other day). I saw that Lolly was home, and decided to drop in on her. She's put her kitchen sink I gave her up in her house, and to be honest, I think it doesn't look that bad!

Lolly was talking about April Fool's Day, commenting that her birthday is March 27th. I know that, Lolly, as it was literally three days ago... Continuing my walk about town, I found Punchy outside his house, and he wanted me to find him some new furniture. I made a mental note to check the store for stuff that might look nice in Punchy's blue house, and kept on patrolling. I found three dig spots all in a diagonal row behind my picnic blanket, and they turned out to be 2 fossils and a gyroid. That was kind of neat to see. I spoke with Rosie, who was right outside her house (as a matter of fact, every villager I'd seen up to that point was right outside their house!), and she wanted me to help her with something called "Project Fried Dough". She wanted me to bury a time capsule with something "sweet" in it. I agreed to help her out, even though I can think of about 500 different things sweeter than fried dough... As usual, I buried the time capsule near the house of the villager that asked me to bury it, so it'll be easier for me to find once they ask for it. Mira was by the bridge (hey, first villager not close to their house!), and she hummed to me the tune of the town where she used to live. At the plaza, I found Walker and Al singing happily, and Al was now wearing Walker's shirt. At least the big goon is developing good taste in friends...

Savannah was at home, and I dropped in on her. She had a gift she wanted to give to Al, so I agreed to deliver it for her sake. As I was making my way off to find my least favorite of my current 10 villagers, Punchy pinged me, and gave me a sleek carpet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that was a gift he got a few days ago from somebody. Still, it was nice to get a free item. I soon found Al, and gave him his present from Savannah, which turned out to be a blue jacket. As thanks, he gave me a rally tee. Do I look like a cheerleader to you?!
I went up to the stores to browse through today's merchandise, but couldn't find anything that I thought would look nice in Punchy's house. However, I did find a safety helmet in the Able Sisters and some fishnet tights in Kicks for my catalog. Back in T&T, I found Eugene in the garden area, and he told me gardening was very demanding and tiring. I know, buddy...you have to work pretty hard to grow something like, say, an orange tree. Once 3:30 rolled around, I made sure to stop by Walker's place, and he was very happy to see me. He asked if I wanted any of his furniture, and I bought up the shirt that he had on display. I also found a classic chair inside his alpine dresser, which he let me have.
Later this evening, I visited Eugene in his house, and he said he was up all night writing a note for a special someone. Astrid, I immediately thought? It was all in vain though, sadly, as he never sent off the letter...darn it! In any event, he wanted a piece of fruit to get his strength back, and I agreed to help him out. I went outside his house to the persimmon trees, and gave one to him. He loved it, and gave me a big-dot tee as thanks.
And finally, as I was heading back to Re-Tail to sell my most recent acquisitions before calling it a night, something very sweet happened. Astrid pinged me, wanting to buy the very same big-dot tee Eugene gave me not a few minutes earlier. I was too happy to oblige, and I really hoped she would put it on after she bought it, even though I had no clue how it would look. To my thrill, she promptly changed into it, and she actually looks very nice in it! Now Astrid truly is wearing Eugene's shirt! Maybe playing matchmaker with these two won't be so bad after all.
BTW, I forgot to take a pic of it, but I'll be sure to get one tomorrow. And that's it for today: tomorrow, I have only one day to get those April Fool's hints! I'd better get a move on...
